48,000 North Melbourne Members. $10 tickets. At home under a roof. Not a TV orientated game and not on Channel 7. Sunny day. Day off work and no school tomorrow.

If North, a 100 year old club in a local market of 5,000,000+ people can't get close to 10,000 they don't deserve a club.

If you're there you could probably actually count the crowd and it would be a couple of thousand.

Even allowing for people you can't see, the AFL will put out an official attendance of 8,000, it's then you realise they are counting individual legs and arms and not bodies!

Melbourne and GWS currently hold the unwanted record, attracting a crowd of just 8,974 at what was then known as Etihad Stadium in Round 23, 2015 — the lowest attendance at the Docklands venue in its 22-year history.

On a cold Thurs night with work and school the following day, full price tickets and no FTA coverage, 22,000 is a crowd North can only dream of. North would literally get 5,000 turning up. Today they will be lucky to get 8,000.
