Its not that hard to see why people on the outside would be low on us, a wooden spoon though is pretty ridiculous given west coast and north . From the outside you see the lack of young talent in the 23 and limited access to top end draft picks its easy to write a side off and say their time is over. But im pretty bullish on guys like Brown, Banks, Clarke, Tresize etc who all showed impressive VFL form and glimpses in their limited exposure, our future back 7/8 looks strong. We lack young potential A graders though but I can see us snagging guys like Zurhaar to fill the holes

Hawks what absolute knobs they offer him a one year contract but then go ahead and offer Chol a five year contract.

What does that actually tell you they don't think much of him by offering a one year contract. So you can't expect an over the top draft pick.

Maybe we have offered a 4th rounder based on thar but a 3rd rounder max!

People not happy about JJs opinion in here. But I genuinely want people to tell me which teams apart from maybe West Coast and North that were better than at the moment. Kinda getting harder to answer that question. To be honest too, if north get their heads right mentally, they’ll prob shoot past us too

We almost made finals with a Key forward on 1 leg. A lot of optimism has some backing.

Doesn't work like that a new coach with a refined game plan, new mindset, new voice. Players will lift to another level.
Lynch and Gibcus back and some of the youngsters no doubt will go to another level.

Have a look at what Craig Mcrea did with the pies. I thought this year we played like crap and we still nearly made the eight. In Yze we trust.

I feel the afl feel like they want to manufacture a colonwood / carltoon finals rivalry like the 70s
