just comes down to a lack of politcal will to get shit done, cop the shit short term for what you know will be a good outcome long term. this applies to loads of infrastructure in this country - mainly public transport which loads of councils/governments gawk at as it takes years/decades to get going
And Saffioti still getting flack for Metronet.

Firstly, I,m busy at work.
Secondly, you took an example from Queensland and randomly applied it to Tasmania. Then you ask me prove you wrong. It's impossible to prove something that hasn't happened anywhere except your head.
Thirdly, it's obvious been a long time since your eyes have been open or your ears have heard anything than would change your mind.

We are all friend here as you said.
I'm sure others would interested .
As we are talking about a situation in Tasmania not what happened in Queensland and we don't know how long the government will last.
It's relevant question.
Do you believe both sides of politics are corrupt.
(I bet you can't just post one word).
Yes or no.
I have wotk to do. Have nice day.

I'm sorry that you're too busy at the moment, I'm happy to wait until you're more available for you to find those examples you mentioned.

I don't recall asking you to do anything except that, and I linked it to Tasmania because the ALP aren't in power there but are using the issue to disrupt power, with the aim to get into power, letting people think a vote for them is a vote against the stadium spend, then sending letters to the AFL assuring them of their commitment to the stadium. So my assertion is that they want to bring in the same CFMEU "best practices" including being paid double time for hot and rainy days when the guys are sent home as happened with the previous government in QLD.

Do I believe both sides are corrupt? Yes.

Please send me the examples you were referring to when you ignored everything I wrote to play whataboutism games, muddying the waters and other cliches too.

Too long, didn't read? How so, Suma?
You took a nice long time to write what you have, please use it to send me the examples of which you were referring to when you first replied to me.

Thank you

I was told the RAC Arena project ran so far over budget because the government signed the contracts to built it and then realised there wasn't adequate (or any) parking, requiring a change in design and variations charge on top of costs.
That’s correct, the ground works for the parking took forever due to the amount of water found.

The roof is the key to finding the compromise needed here.
The AFL cancelling the team would be pretty difficult to do now, I’m not sure they could do that and still save face from the enormous backlash that will follow.

Talk of it being too cold or wet without a roof is just laughable.
The whole 5-goal wind thing is also grossly exaggerated. If that were actually true they would be no local footy comp in the state, as well, why would you play a game simpler decided by the elements?

Strong arming a team to build a futuristic bowl with a roof as it it were New York City is more cynical backhand stuff from the AFL.

It’s far colder and more miserable in mid winter in the UK - here’s the full list of current premier league clubs with a roofed stadium for some context:

So why should Hobart be forced to have one?

And Saffioti still getting flack for Metronet.
And deserved because of the massive and I mean massive overrun on the budget. It’s nice to be the Treasurer and endorse all the over spending, it’s only our money.

Not against Metronet but the running of it was farcical.

Weather is not an excuse. Both teams have to play in it.

If they get cold in their new stadium, I could swing by the Packers Pro shop and ship some cheese bras for the Tassies to wear when it gets cold.

If they get too hot in those they can always go au natural. 😝😝
