Interesting. It doesn't look like it factors in compo picks, like Oscar Allen at 2, TDK compo pick 12, Draper and Silvagni end of R1 compo picks would be 22 (21) and 23 (22) before our pick.
So our picks are likely 26-28 range after accounting for the 3-4 compo picks.
Looks like there's some good options at our picks if that plays out.

It looks like it has GC picks 8, 10 and 18 absorbed in the academy bids, but I think they are short on points to match all the bids in this scenario by 400 pts (~ another R2 in a player trade or pick swap).
GC picks 8 (1443), 10 (1276), 18 (836), 28 (505) = 4,060 pts
Bids 3 (90% 1960), 8 (90% 1299), 17 (90% 791), 30 (90% 409) = 4,459 pts.
I suspect Patterson gets bid in the first five so as I've said before, more points are required imo.

Lions are going to need ~470 points (top 30) to match that Annable bid at 2 (90% 2,232 pts). They've got 1,760 pts.

Looks like its knocked out Lions (15), Swans (27), Blues (33, 43), Pies (36, 54), Lions (37, 40, 46, 47), Freo (39, 49), Swans (45), Cats (50), WCE (34, 52) - traded back from 34?, Bombers have lost 23 trading back perhaps?

Not sure GWS need another small fwd in Dovaston lol. Haven't they got enough already?
This draft will certainly be interesting to see what teams pounce on before other teams and who falls through.

Nice effort there from Haggas, like it, but I don't think we will be selecting two key forwards in this draft + selecting four players seems overkill {pardon my wording}, small forward seems like a no no after getting Zac and Harley Barker at #18, if we didn't try and move heaven & Earth to get one of those teen picks to get this lad then I'll probably be on the floor. With the Cats drafting strategy I'm very curious as to who they are interested in.

What’s the long-term projection for Cooper Duff-Tytler? Does he shape as a pure ruck, or more of a key forward who can pinch-hit in the ruck?

Also keen to hear from the wiser draft heads in here—what’s the read on this year’s ruck crop overall? Not with North in mind, of course, but it does feel like rucks spark the widest range of opinions every draft year.

looked a lot better forward of the ball, so i would think maybe ff but he’s also pretty athletic so maybe he could play a chf like darcy, didn’t look that good at all in the ruck

How much we commit to KPFs in the draft probably depends on where we see Whitlock, long term, and how we see our odds of getting McCartney.

Whitlock, McCartney, Maley and Trembath probably isn't too bad, as your development KPFs. I'd probably be okay just using a later pick on a KPF, if that's the group.

If we didn’t **** ourselves in the Daniel trade, then we would’ve had our natural 2nd rounder last year and a top 2 pick this year.

One of M.Whitlock, J. Whitlock, Jobe Shanahan, Noah Mraz or Kayle Gerreyn would’ve been available. Any combination of them with Duursma/Sharp is going to be better than Whitlock, Daniel and pick 30+.

It’s all about value. We got terrible value from the Daniel trade then from a points perspective gave up way too much to trade back in to get Whitlock. Last years trade period will hold us back for a further 5 years, you can take it to the bank.

Way overs 5 years.

Whitlock is just beginning and the back end of that trade hasn't even happened yet.

Logan Morris went at Pick 31.

They are. Blues and * will get a compensation pick based on their age and contract value ($$$, years etc.).
Sounds more like band 2 contract range, which would be end of R1 (pick 19 & 20).
Not actually sure if it would go alphabetical order or what happens there.
And there could be a WCE end of R1 priority pick as well they have to trade to come into things as well.
That's why I think those late R1's from Lions/GC should be a target for us to move up with 20/21 and 38/F3.

Interesting. He seems really to like the athletes like Grlj and Phillipou. He may be right about that translating at AFL.
Sounds like Phillipou will rise up higher and has quite the athletic background, kicks left and right foot.

Hey Kool Kangas, there is another choice; Go to a club he has supported all his life, known all the players, follow in his dads footsteps, you don't think he's watched that game where "his dad kicked that goal" and if we watched it and you didn't get emotional then there's something other than blood running through your veins, how do you think you would feel if it was your dad that did that in our glorious jumper, don't give up on sentiment just yet, it "aint" quite dead.

Any idea of what he's like?
