Tough game to keep any interest in, so to for the players by the looks of it.

Chesser appears to have extended his career by a year, well done, it was very much looking over.

Excited for an afl pre season for mccarthy and to see what year 2 looks like for shanahan. Genuine positives in a dark year.

Ginbey a shining light all year. Commentary discussing him going back in the middle. Forget that.

Davis as a first year player shows real potential as a modern winger, definitely persist.

This side (and harley) desperately need hewett to become an A grade mid. Jury is out but you can see it.

Hall has a low afl ceiling. Will need to work real hard to be a clearance beast. Would like to see him tackle more and defend better.

Not sure what to make of bazzo. Doesn't have the athletic profile of a brock or ginbey. Doesn't have the size of an Edwards/barrass. Not a naturally aggressive competitor like a ginbey or Edwards. Yet to show hes an elite interceptor or lock down. May end up being a depth KPD.

One more to go, thank F.

Agree on Hall in particular. Will need to develop his defensive game to become a b23 player. Needs to work on running and strength to make it.

Not so sure about Ginbey. I could see him as a powerful midfielder one day if the defence became strong enough.

At start of year you might argue our 5 best players would be
McGovern .Waterman. Yeo. Harley Reid . Allen .
Even with all those available we were spoon favourites.
Perspective is with the players available it has been a very good effort .

Nah, that was a f**king depressing game in a f**king depressing season.
There have been about 4 good efforts and the rest of the season has been an absolute waste of time.
But all good, we're just going to hand out contracts to a bunch of mediocre players and go again next year for much the same result no doubt

If he’s not on our list next year but players like owies are, then I don’t know what we are doing as a club.

I think it's conclusive that B Williams is not and never will be good at football. The sooner we get a young ruck to develop the better.

Positives - really liked Maric, Hewett and Ginbeys games. Great effort from those three.

Kinda worrying when at the start of the season, we would have all agreed that the forward line is probably our strongest line and of lest concern.

Now, Allen out the door, Waterman MIA for half the season, Ryan being shuffled around and getting a serious case of the yips, long progression flat lining, JWilliams going backwards. Owies, WTF.

We are relying on a 5 game player to lead the forward line. The game has seriously passed Cripps

Agree! Today was possibly the worst forward line I have ever witnessed the Eagles put out. Allen for pick 2 seems too good to be true, but definitely will miss him more than people think..

Agreed. Once the backline is stronger he could play mid . Ed Richards does ok in mid for an ex defender

I don’t think he’s a mid and as a defender I don’t think he’ll be a great rebounder but a shep like all round back that locks down first and can provide dash. Last season Hough was very much in that mould. Mini’s ruined him this year

Gee the stats can be misleading. We actually won the tackle count, by a fair bit too. But I reckon we looked slow and weak. They ran through our tackles throughout the game and ran off opponents with ease.

Let's be honest, it was pathetic.

• Watching it, it didn’t feel like a 90+ pt loss, more a 60pt loss.
• they just move the ball so much better once they got it out of the pressure. When we got on top a little we just didn’t convert. While they kicked straight after the first quarter.

Today definitely wasn’t an effort thing but it was our garbage bottom end players and so called leaders again just phoning it in and being sloppy and not competitive… Cole getting another contract after missing that handball today is the ultimate insult.
