Should never have come to this. He was best 22 IMO.

Hope he can stay healthy - we look better when he plays.
he's been in the system since 2017 and hasn't breached 100 games, in comparison, duz, since 2021, has played 91

don't view this as a criticism, it's just the nature of his body. never been able to get it right, but we're a much better unit when hes playing

I view it as criticism and valid criticism.

We shouldn't be taking him back without at least looking at other options. Yes, he plays the defensive midfield role well when fit, but he's unavailable half the time so overall it's my first really big criticism of Rosa. I didn't love the El-Hawli and Edwards ones when they happened, but without having a look at a much bigger need (small forward) I really don't like this.

given that he's coming off a significantly bad injury, that's the criticism i'd level agains the club, we don't want him starting on the injury list.

yeah i was sad when we delisted him but it was the smart choice. the injury crisis isnt just down to poor S&C its also partly down to having a number of guys who are injury prone on the list. How many fingers and toes do we have to cross to hope all these guys come good.
Letting Draper walk and not overpaying for him was the right call, not rushing to re-sign setterfield and seeing how his injury rehab was progressing/filling out other list needs first was also the right call. The odds are they will both continue to struggle with injuries for rest of their careers.

He has played atleast 106 games since 2019 (including)
Yes, we know you like quoting the two actual injury free years he's had. From 2021 till now he's playeed 72 AFL and VFL games out of a possible 114 games. He misses a third of the season on average after those two years, without getting into the fact that before 2019/20 he was injury prone before that as well. Since coming over he's gone 11, 13, 13 games.

Well it's on record that he's aiming for an "early season return" which means not round 1. Let's be generous and say round 5 return to the VFL. That leaves 19 games for him to play 16. Are you saying that he has to play 16 games at both levels for it to be correct?

Thought inside word ant555 said round 1 a chance?

I just think wed reached so close to the cliff edge with experience for this year and next year that he was required. Id be fine with 13-14 games, it just alleviates the intensity on guys like Robey in such high impactful roles

We dont want to turn Robey into what setterfield has become because we have limited options

The club must operate in a realistic world, accepting that there is a reasonable chance at least one, and possibly more of Gresham, Merrett, or Ridley will depart at the end of the year.
