Happy for Boland to get a wicket.
Labs catching has been awesome to behold.

Team effort,well done lads.

Actually Sth Aussies had a big say in this one so kudos to them.

Onto the G.

I get it from the perspective of them being disappointed from getting out. Smith does it almost everytime he gets out
Yeah I understand why they do it, but it's also 'against the spirit of cricket' to not put that to the side and disrespect your opposition by acting in such a way that you're surprised that you got out, even though it's clearly a battle.

A humble respect for the strengths of your opposition and the culmination of a bowler-batter battle is to me, respecting the 'spirit of cricket', that is, understanding that the 'spirit of cricket' is a battle in which sometimes a bowler wins and sometimes a batter wins, and much in the same way I don't particularly like bowler send offs to batters either (that same respect to the atter).

I see you have improved your comments from what we see in the Society, Religion and politics forums

🤣

Nobody GAF about your drama on another board.

What are the chances of Murphy coming back into the team? Or are there better young spinners?
Murphy doesn't turn them enough on Australian pitches for mine. A good subcontinent option

Rocchiocelli would be my selection

I dont know how i feel about that-essentially Brook and smith lost that test and we got out of jail.
While its awesome to retain the ashes its pretty clear this is the worst ashes winning team we have had in some time (and worst captain too) and the replacements particularly in batting and spinners are not there. Not much to write home about.

They will be morale victors for getting as close as they did
oh yeah they work that out by going "carey should have been out on 72 due to snicko error, head should have been caught for 99 so we (England) are moral victors"

Few changes for Boxing Day. We look sore and knackered
Pressures off so we can experiment a bit to a degree. Replace the injured and sore with some hungry blokes wanting a spot in the team and 5-0 is still a good chance. Plenty of talent making runs/taking wickets at domestic level

We haven't been at full strength this Series but England are a lot shitter than I thought.

Let's not forget how heroic Ben Stokes was in this game
Ben, do you regret not bowling for a whole day when Australia took the Ashes away from you with a decisive batting display, only to reappear at the bowling crease the very next day bowling to the tail when the game was all but over?

I'll leave that to those who have seen more of the Shield. I don't think I've seen Murphy at all this season.

Guessing they will go to Khunemann as the most recent; but Rocchicioli and Swepson also probably in the thinking along with Swepson.
Age probably won't (and should almost never) come into it.

I presume they will play a spinner, not rely on Head and Webster, in Melbourne. Any chance of playing two in Sydney (there was very little to begin with imo) is probably gone.
Neser also a shot ...just took a 5 for and we won 2 tests without spinner

can see him seriously considered and no spinner playing
