So Ken to assist Voss until the sun sets on another wasted season at which point Voss gets the boot and caretaker Ken quietly slides into the drivers seat.

Presently, have to agree.

It’s a basketcase, needs a complete change of club wide culture.
The culture at Carlton began to rot in 2007 when the players threw the towel in against Brisbane and the club sacked Pagan because they allowed the tail to wag the dog, with the rot continuing to fester over the years as Ratten, Malthouse, Bolton and Teague all lost their jobs because the players decided things were too hard and gave up with the intention of getting the coach sacked although Ratten losing his job was due to a combination of this and the coterie groups wanting to get Malthouse, the players were 100% responsible for the other coaches losing their jobs and if you go back to Brittain getting sacked it was due to the coterie groups wanting Pagan although the wooden spoon certainly didn't help especially as it was Carlton's first wooden spoon in their entire history. Carlton in 2025 showed they're turning the corner by retaining Voss despite the players wanting him sacked as the Carlton of the 2000s we've come to know would have sacked Voss while prioritising keeping the likes of Curnow happy doing whatever it takes to make sure they don't leave the club, this shows the tail is no longer wagging the dog at Carlton which is unlike Carlton of the 2000s and it'll be interesting to see what a pass mark for Voss is in 2026 in order for him to earn a contract extension.

2026 last of the Voss era.

2027 needs a whole new era

In a way of embarking on a rebuild ala 2021 into 2022.

Time will tell on Voss.

Might be time for a new approach.

Gain a new angle.

Then go from there.

Let work at 2026 first.

Step by step

Finals or he is the centerlink line
If Brian Cook was still CEO then I'd expect him to back Voss given Cook's track record of never sacking a coach during his West Coast/Geelong stints as CEO. However with Graham Wright as CEO it's harder to predict which lever he pulls especially if Carlton make finals but fail to win a final and I remember when Port Adelaide gave Ken Hinkley a contract extension when Port qualified for finals and failed to win a final.

You gotta stop bumping Carlton threads. Its getting a bit boring

Carlton are a big club and people like to talk about them hence all the discussion. I was asking about a pass mark for Voss and whether or not making the finals and finishing in the lower half of the top 8 without winning a final would be a pass mark because of what happened with Ken Hinkley who after his first 4 years as coach of Port Adelaide had delivered similar results to what Voss has at Carlton so far, and in Hinkley's 5th year he took Port to the lower half of the top 8 and failed to win a final however he was given a 3 year contract extension by Port at the end of the season.

It's a very fair question, yet the Carlton supporters seem unwilling to respond.

'What does Carlton need to do for Voss to keep his job beyond 2026, Carlton supporters?'

Go.

More consistency, and a team that looks like it’s playing for each other.

players continuing to look disinterested and uncommitted like they did in ‘25 will reflect badly on Voss.
