This is going to blow your fragile mind but I believe the Epstein files should be released in full, unredacted, and if Trump is implicated in any form of criminal activity in them(which we could fairly presume is true) then he should be immediately removed from the presidency and made to stand trial. His handling of the Epstein files is the biggest stain on his presidency thus far and it's not even close.

But in this line of conversation I'm discussing the current regime change in Venezuela, not the Epstein files, but considering you're seemingly conflating my opinion on Venezuela as me running defence for Trump over the Epstein files, I'll offer you this out to prevent you causing further embarrassment to yourself.

Anyone complaining about Maduro's arrest bothered to mention he was originally indicted in 2020? Trump's clearly played the long game but Biden kept up the criminal case and arrest reward.

Also, probably listen to all the Venezuelans on social media and look at the scenes coming out of the country after Maduro's arrest.

Russia, China and Iran have been using Venezuela since Chavez ousted the democratically elected leader in '07 and Venezuela's been the destabilizing force in the Americas since then.

I wonder if people know that Venezuela has had the 2nd largest exodus of people fleeing the country after Syria since 2014? Nearly 8 million people have fled the country since then.

One of the things people rarely understand about WW2 was just how limited the available bombers were. We have seen too many films and TV series (Masters of the Air etc) and sort of uncritically imbibed the idea that allied bombing was more effective than it was.

In reality, some of the most commonly used aircraft such as the B17 were pretty pathetic when it comes to bombload. It could carry about 3 tonnes of bombs readily on internal bays, more with external stores but that compromised range. The B24 and B29 and Lancaster were better but had limitations too.

In reality, the allies dropped just over 2 million tonnes of bombs on axis powers in WW2, Germany and Japan. The Americans dropped over 7.6 million tonnes on Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia in the conflict in SE Asia. The bomb load of the B52 made a difference, but even tactical fighters could out carry the B17. A F105 thunderchief, a single seat tactical fighter, could carry 6.4 tonnes of ordnance, more than a B17 with a crew of 10.
