Would pay good money to see Trent Copeland have his limbs tied to 4 sled dogs and dismembered as they run in different directions.

The biggest moron on sports commentary, any sport, in this country.

Cricket analysis from a 120km trundler is hilarious stuff.

Haha! I agree mate, he's as bad as Warner and as insufferable as Brayshaw. I switch the channel as soon as I hear any of the three. Copeland has a particular stench of jobs for the boys about him, not an ounce of charisma or class. I just about put up with him when he is on for 30 seconds doing those short bits of analysis, but now they're pushing him into commentary and hosting roles yuck!

Fox Cricket showed the bat flip live, even though it had James Brayshaw MC'ing the flip, whereas 7 showed it on delay since their coverage didn't start til 7pm aedt, though they didn't mention the delay.

Not really. He can always come back to Australia for the Fox Cricket Summer. Living in another country doesn’t really stop that
true but the article seems to frame his commentary job in past tense.

Full T20 world cup match replays from the aren't showing up for me on Prime, I can only see the 25 minute highlights. Does anyone know how to find the full matches?

Edit - FYI, was able to find them buy clicking into the individual teams pages from the World Cup page.

Honestly prefer 7.

Good team featuring Nicho, Punter, Kat, Copeland and Mitchell. Wouldn't be upset if they punted Brayshaw - I don't get the support for him.

I’ll pass your good wishes onto his family at cricket this weekend

Whether or not you like it, why on earth would his speed have any bearing on his analysis?

Ponting wasn’t a great bowler as I recall but he is a pretty good analyst in general of the game.

Copeland isn’t going to be breaking down any barriers soon as far as breathtaking insight goes but he took 400 first class wickets across two countries, hit a first class hundred, represented his country within a year or two of his FC debut, and has a couple of uni degrees including a Masters in sports management - he knows the industry obviously - and another degree in coaching. So while that’s hardly going to make him Bill Lawry in the studio or commentary box, the combination of all that with his playing experience makes him reasonably well qualified to be doing what he’s doing.

They all are. You’d be hard pressed to find anyone outside of the ball by ball commentators who went no higher than their local second grade side, who DONT know what they’re talking about.

All that changes is whether they are charismatic or likeable enough to be listenable and whether they actually research the people they’re analysing.
