Didn’t realise we were going off just 1 year

This wasn't 2025

Mcreery dealt with injury last year, Jamie is one of the greatest of all time.

No shit we wouldn't want Daicos to miss games, great insight!

Moore was near BOG in the final against Adl last year, I think that question has been answered. Houston with more time in the system is expected to improve.

Dangerfield is older than most of those guys and was managed well, then won a prelim off his own boot. It's a different league now and and the best players play longer.

I see Fadgeys son learned how to log onto the interwebz, exciting times!!

Mcreery dealt with injury last year,

OK - let's extrapolate out then.

19 games - 6 goals.

23 games equals...............I'll even round it up.............8 goals.

That's before a mooted move into the midfield, too.

Jamie is one of the greatest of all time.

He had an outlier season. What odds of it happening again, especially at his age?

Again, the team was decidedly mid-range. Hardly "potent".

Other teams have depth to cover a top-end player missing.

Collingwood don't.

Pretty simple. That's obviously lost here.

Yay, one game. I think John Georgiades played well in one game too.

Order was restored the game after though - a grand total of 3 kicks and 3 marks.

Moore has been off the boil for two seasons now, and is a complete liability at times, to the point he gets isolated one on one.

Add old man (calf) injuries into the mix, and the jury is very much out if he can get back to the player he was.

Houston is expected to improve - yep, can't go backwards. Right now, he's a bust. If J Daicos goes into the midfield, it should see him playing better, granted.

Like how he backed up in the GF, yeah?

He, like almost all other older players, simply can't sustain the same level over the course of the full season.

I'd love to see stats to justify the last sentence. Sounds more like just trying to justify where Collingwood's list is at.

Jamie Elliott is class you are just upset Charlie Cameron had an outlier down season

Elliott is a 5”10 power fwd. I love the way he plays.
Cameron is a ground ball player and averages more goals.
I think it’s apples and pineapples.

It’d be interesting to have a poll betweeen Elliott and Bosustow. Bosustow was 6”1

I’m not sure who I’d pick

why did you change your name Adam? 500 posts under the other name not enough for you?
Actually this guy sounds like that Richmond muppet who created 1000 alts to repeat all this rubbish about Geelong for years.

New poster - spends all their time talking about other clubs - regurgitating the Hawthorn 2018 line - immediately getting angry and throwing insults around despite being "new" here.

Looks like he's finally conceded defeat on Geelong and moved on to you guys.

Would have been a worthy NSM.
Charlie Cameron and Lachie Neale got the Lion's rampaging in what was a tight contest before that. Maybe it would have happened anyway but despite the lack of NS recognition those were legacy strengthening moments for those 2.

The Lions trade-ins for this era have been spectacular succeses.

This guy has been doing it to Collingwood under various aliases also for years. We caught him out under Mynameisinuse who has posted 500 times in this thread alone lol I xant imagine how he finds the time to do both Geelong and Collingwood though

All you need to do is watch a career highlights package to understand why he is one of the GOAT small forwards.

Let alone how many game winning goals including one of the most famous goals after the siren to understand his greatness. He has some of the greatest screamers ever too.

Shows your bad faith engagement trying to deny the obvious.

Jamie Elliott is a small who plays tall. Very good hands. And had an exceptional year last year. Not an all time great though.

The great small forwards average around the 2 goals per game. Anywhere from around 1.8 - 2 goals per game. Phil Matera, Milne, Eddie Betts, Jeff Farmer, Le Cras, Charlie Cameron, Bruest all come to mind.

And then there are the freaks like Leigh Mathews (900+ goals) and Kevin Bartlett (almost 800) who played as both mids and forwards.

Leigh played as a KPF and was a rover and did what he did...GOAT!!!

Elliott can be argued as a Collingwood small forward GOAT. Not across the entire comp though. His average of 1.2 goals per game does not elevate him to GOAT discussion.

Different guy to the Saints supporter. There's a few of the repeat offenders and they do have some overlapping areas of interest. One is absolutely a Tigers supporter though.
