Clarko made it sound more likely that Kerch will have increased time this week because they wanted to ease him into it last week.

I genuinely have no idea who is going to be dropped to make way for Wardlaw then.

I guess Konstanty or Duursma. Both would be pretty stiff.

Not anymore.

Sydney (to woo McCartney), Essendon & a win in Adelaide are our ‘grand finals’ for this year.
For me anyway.
Imo that head to head graphic suggests we're stuck with them until we have a result against them where we aren't biting our nails 25 into the last quarter.

Can see why you're aiming higher but it would be affording the group confidence they haven't earned

I think are ON.

God, I hope so.

Heartening that Clarkson addressed in no uncertain terms the importance of backing it up. It's all I wanted to hear. And it's all I'll want to hear if we play well this week (and make no mistake, if we play well this week, we win)

I would love JK out for Banch and Jy out for Hardeman. Maybe more realistic to see Powell for Hardeman. Give Wardlaw a rest. The other of Jy/Powell holding Wardlaws spot for one more week.

Watching the game against Port Jy irritated me. When we were trying to man up he kept not following his man and players like Stephens had to run massive distances to cover him. Against good teams we will get hurt.

I hope Duursma stays in. Looked bought in, made an effort. Showed signs. Dropping him would kill his confidence.

Your predictions have been right often enough that I can’t dismiss the possibility, but… if they rest Parker the first week after our backline finally discovers its first semblance of order since the Tarrant days, goodness gracious me.
Very good point.
You can argue that Parks has to play week in week out.

Logue goes to Waterman pretty clearly in my opinion, Pink to Shanahan and Comben to CDT/Reid. Doubt they play 4 talls at one any time but McDonald can chip on any of them to be honest - pressure up the ground and it won’t matter. Parker and McDonald would play on Cripps and a resting Yeo, Macca otherwise will chop out on the 4th tall or other resting mids like Duursma/Graham/Murdock (or whoever gets a game otherwise this week).

I’d like to think Larkey’s pre match speech was directed as guys like Simpkin.

Don’t be a hero and just do what you’re ****ing supposed to do.

Interesting, round one out of the way, it will be either the one change or for the boys to get some clarity and for a couple of them to show what they can do in this second game, no change. Konstanty for Banch but Jacob's tackling was really good and his pressure was very important even though he didn't get a lot of the ball. Calls for Caleb, McDonald, Darling to get dropped is not going to happen after one game, they played their part.

If Wardlaw is playing, I do wonder if they'll rest McKercher instead?

He was on a minutes restriction in round 1 and came into the season a little underdone.

I'd prefer he plays, but I do wonder if that's a possibility.
No chance
