Well look on the bright side, none of that is going to happen.

2 picks in the same round is an impossible rule. it'll most likely be your 2 next picks + a defecit

We have our 1st + Carltons 2nd as a starting point, together that should go close to matching any bid especially if theres still a 10% discount
Damn, I actually quoted the wrong post lmao. I meant the one where it noted what everyone got their F/S and academy picks for.

I remember KT in September 2013 when he was pushing for the reunification to make the Magpies our proper B side, and then at the 2018 Members Convention that having the Magpies and Academies, it will help us attract players and let us develop our own players to draft directly or snap them up when/if they come back to SA.

We've snagged a few players since 2014, but to get Cochrane, Salopek, Zemes and Rodan in 2 drafts is at the higher end of what KT and co had in mind back then.

Of course the AFL are now making this as hard as possible to achieve.

The club now has it's hands full with acquiring enough draft capital for both of these guys next year, as well as Cochrane this year.

If i was them, i'd be on the phone to tassie about their picks 5, 7, 11, and 13. Which i believe they are required to trade.

Interesting that Tevita not announced at the same time. Potentially means he is leaning Essendon.
Tevita is not on the shortlist for tassie, the other two are

Conversley, why has he not nominated essendon yet?

He is best mates with salopek, he knows zemes and cochrane, surely it would be more incentive to nominate us.

Sure but there was no need for these two to make a public announcement either just because they were on the shortlist for Tassie.

Tevita has been in the Essendon NGA program and living in Vic. He would have an established social life in Victoria.

How many can Tasmania list pre 2027 draft? Gonna make it harder to match when talented players taken out the open draft pool, which in turn leads to Salopek/Pilot being bid on earlier. Once again getting screwed

They're doing the same as gc and gws did by being able to obliterate a few drafts to help them stockpile talent and kneecap other clubs trying to build a list.

if we didnt have all our nga's and f/s's during this 'transition' period we would be so f****ed
We probably still are because of the bidding changes. Glory be to the AFL.

Remind me again, players on this shortlist can essentially join Tasmanias list for free right?

Which would weaken the draft pool in 2027. Hopefully a few take up the opportunity.

A weakened draft pool works in our favour, might give clubs more incentive to trade down the draft order

Essendon have Bewick who is rated higher than Rodan. might even be the favourite for pick 1 after Tasmania takes players out.

They will need almost as many points for Bewick and Rodan as we do for Salopek, Pilot and Rodan. Basically each club will need 3 or 4 first round picks. So his decision is a bit more difficult.
