It’ll be this. Yze could be the worst coach in the world and still wouldn’t keep him deep forward or on the pine if it wasn’t about load management

Conditioning team can’t win on here it’s either poor management when players cop injuries or people complaining about the management

Lalor isn’t an endurance beast and has already had hammy problems. We don’t need him playing large midfield minutes yet.

Just because we are losing there’s no need to throw the development plan out the window.

No ruck, no experienced forwards. I don’t know what anyone thinks would go differently under another coach.

The problem has been for a long time, when we do get it out of the middle, our aging mids do not effectively deliver inside 50. This terrorist style of delivery just bombing it in does not work. We give our forwards little chance and consequently they do not lead because the service in is second rate. Put the kids in the middle and let their natural instincts guide them. Sure they might struggle but in doing so they will learn and get better. Our aging mids just age …

I think most supporters understand that the rebuild is going to take time, and unfortunately at the moment it’s difficult to fast track due to injuries to our new draftees and key players like Nank and Lynch.
There’s just a huge void of talent from our 18/19 year olds to our veterans like Nank/Lynch/Vlastuin. One A grader- Taranto, and then lots of Cand D graders in that 22-28 y group.
Imo haven’t made enough hard calls on a number of our players in their mid 20s , who should have been turned over by now.

Taranto A Grader? He's B+ at best.

Disappointing result and a poor performance. In a game where we should have been competitive for 4 quarters, we were playing catch up from the start. Some good patches in the 2nd and 3 quarters but skill errors and turnovers killed whatever momentum we had and worked so hard to get.

On a tactical level, our ball movement continues to be a concern. We simply can not transition the ball from our D50 to our attacking 50 and that has the biggest impact on our scoring. Young key forwards and our delivery I50 also impact but ultimately when we win the ball back and can't move the ball with speed it eliminates any chance we have to bring the ball into an open 50 where the opposition hasn't got their numbers back. We are missing Mansell as well, badly. Always good for a goal or 2 a game, halves contests, creates, tackles with intent and is quick.

Midfield mix has been done to death but I agree with the consensus. The mix needs to be more dynamic. We do need to protect the kids and not throw them to the wolves but 2 of Taranto, Prestia and Hopper is more than enough in the 23.

There were positives to take out despite the result and performance.

-Gray needs to stay in the backline. Had some brain fades but if he is settled into a position those will come out of his game. He is a good and rangy defender, play him in defence or don't play him. Is the heir to Broad.
-Grlj, love his work rate and effort. Brilliant from a 4th gamer.
-Sonsie continued to make good decisions with ball in hand and attack the contest when he had to.
-Trainor backed up last week with another good game, looks far more assured in his first 2 games in the seniors this year.
-Fawcett our best dangerous forward, excited to see him build over the next 4-5 weeks.
-Lalor classy as always when he gets the ball, seems like they managed him today and played him more forward.
-MRJ got the crowd on their feet and is super important to us.

-Grey, made some errors but more than made up for them. Junk yard dog! Give him games and he will settle quickly
-Rioli one of his better games
-Sonse is one of our best users. Has some poise now although he needs to stop the kicking off the ground bullshit in defence!

Negatives
Too many to list, just incredibly disappointed at our inability to find space, we’re always under pressure.
-I’m a fan of Brown but he’s horribly out of form, shouldn’t be in the side.
-I will cut banks some slack, he’s playing like he’s had an interrupted preseason, he barely ran all preseason.
-Ryan, sad thing is that was probably one of his best halves of football before the brain fade. The massive cheer when he clunked that mark made me laugh.
-Lefau is struggling, would drop him along with brown and let Balta play ruck and fwd

5. Dickers are hoarding rucks. It’s another list advantage other clubs have over us, especially interstate “clubs” but also other clubs where free agents are somehow allowed to go to whatever club they nominate for. No one nominates Richmond, tons of players have nominated Indian Pacific norf and the shit and piss.

7. Surely the injury record and tactical inflexibility is the reason so many players don’t want to join our list? I have a feeling we had a sniff around free agency in the last season and a bit but no one wanted to come to us. Speaks volumes that shitney can put a player like Rampe on the rookie list and we’re scrabbling around for crumbs.
