Didn’t watch the whole video but…

Lalor to miss around 3.

Dow 6-10.

Lynch likely back.

Nank carrying a knee but wanted to play, he’ll be back.

Short still not progressing yet.

Prestia and Young pulled up well.
Lalor down as missing 4-6 weeks
always long term with our injuries

Stop hating on MRJ and read what I wrote
"For God's sake when MRJ came on and played up high he added some dynamism. That's how non-dynamic our midfield are."

That isn't saying MRJ was great. That's saying when he was around the ball he added some pace and made things a bit more dynamic, compared to .... not much. I was talking about our midfield being one paced and very non-dynamic.

Maurice played the defensive forward role in a game where we basically gave our small forwards a losing hand to play. He wasn't great, but wasn't any worse than our other small forwards. I have Campbell well above MRJ, but I actually reckon MRJ played a more impactful game (that is little bit compared to bugger all).

What I want to see much more than playing MRJ, is us adding some dynamic players to our midfield. KMac2 might become that, but wasn't really impactful. The guys I really want, Smillie, Hotton, Lalor, and Campbell, either aren't fit and ready or just play little bits inside. So, OK try Sonsie, and MRJ. That's all we have right now to add to the mix.

Oh and while I am ranking about this, Ross is doing OK, but isn't what I hoped for.

in 3 years we'll probably have a great midfield. Right now, we don't.
MRJ has almost no AFL level skills. He runs around frantically but does little or nothing when he looks like he might have or actually has control of the pill. He has only gone backwards skill wise despite the last four years of skills training. Like Dow, he has no time or composure. I fail to see how he might be considered a long term asset and he has no place in the team now. Unfortunately!

Yeah article/list wasn’t up at the time, I just watched Serpell’s video.

I think we’ll find we err on the side of caution these days, so 3-4 we’ll probably give 4-6 to be absolutely right, there’s no rush when we’re not contending either.

Far too much sense.

Just file it next to rewarding strong VFL form and dropping underperforming senior players.

Hasn't happened yet so I'm not holding my breath.
How can we have a bloke at VFL 6”5 getting 25p a week near a dozen marks and we leave him out of the team for a couple of wet nosed rookies struggling for. Kick ,,,that’s taking the piss and deliberately setting us up to fail

Alger has some pace and spark.

Agree,we want him to play long term so rushing his recovery will not help.
Too good a player.

No mention of Trainor in the injury list is very positive as I had a real worry that there was going to be a delayed concussion
It’s good news but he needs a spell , been ordinary last 2w ,,,,read the room Richmond’s, if this kid ends with a season ending injury then fk that cya next year

Look Mr negative king -this game of afl is fast and full of hard hits, hamstring injuries are historical.
It's nothing to do with Serpel.
Go kick your cat again.
Rubbish. Why are we the only club who has 3 new recruits all completely stuffed by hammies. In Smillies case x3

Getting too much of it. That's not the way to get a call up.

Not with our match committee anyway.

Must say I'm a little miffed our current policy of flogging the guts out of our young players until they sustain a season ending injury then open up a spot for the next bloke
Does it make too much sense to play for 6 or so games have a spell and give a few others a run
Not like the form of any of them is putting a mortgage on a spot
Beginning to piss me orf if I'm honest
Not very impressed with the F50 tank either
If we play a front end v Sydney like we did v Ess
I for one won't bother turning up
That spells TANK to me not taking an approach to seriously threaten the oppo

We have a total of checks notes zero season ending injuries.

Not sure who you’re exactly referring to, but the players we had available in our front end are checks notes a guy who played one AFL game, a guy who is coming back from an ACL and is week two of his return and a guy who is odds on to be delisted end of years.

If you’re potting Faull, a bloke who was singled out by Yze against West Coast and was very good. Did all the little things that a lot of established forwards dont do (e.g. Curnow) against North and off a five day break without the one experienced forward we have playing on a bloke making over a million a year…

Or is it Sims, a guy who has played a total of three AFL games?

Who are you talking about? I assume the VFL player is Blight, but Campbell Grey was very very good. Miller one of the best 1v1 defenders in the league and played every game. Blight isn’t a forward, so why play him in a position at AFL level when he a) doesn’t play it at VFL level and b) it’s not the likeliest outcome for his future?

Sure a stop gap for a few games early in the year but is not his future.

Makes sense. Let’s not play our healthy young players because they’re going to be at risk of a season ending injury; which again checks notes we don’t have any.

Anyway:

OUTS: Lalor (injured), Dow (injured), Ryan (omitted) Rioli Jr (omitted), Smith (omitted).
INS: Lynch, Nankervis, Prestia, Clarke, Sonsie (sub).

Although I suspect Smith stays in.

Ive noticed that that Serp seems to indicate that the expected return is 4 weeks but worse case it will be 6.
Its happened with a few guys already this year.
He even said that he will only miss 3 games.

In Lynch Prestia Nank Balta Sonsie
Out - Green, Ryan, Lalor, Dow, Smith

Broad, Miller, Vlas
Banks, Balta, Brown
Ralphsmith Prestia Kmac
Sonsie, Lynch, Campbell
Mansell, Faull, Sims
Nank, Hopper, Tarranto
Gray, Kmac 2, Ross, Trainor
Sub - Rioli

Can anyone confirm Balta's curfew is state as well as time or simply time? if he has to be in Vic there's no chance he plays

It’s time and location based.

Jon Ralph stated a few days ago that the club will try and get him in the VFL game which is like at 12:10; and then fly him home immediately after.

Won’t play AFL this weekend.

Lynch & Nank both to return for Lalor & Ryan.
Then who else available with Dow being a forced out?

Sonsie
Prestia - if 1/2 - 3/4 of a VFL game is enough prep.
Juddy Clark- had a few weeks VFL and looking good
Blight - Ready to go but KPD already covered
Trezise - Good to go but Smith having a run in his position.
Alger
Fawcett
Lefau - had 2 weeks VFL, no rush.
Young - 1 week back, no rush and KPD covered.
Balta - another curfew week to go
Kozi - lol

I think you're deluding yourself buddy , it makes zero sense for a kid with one pre season behind him to play 10w in a row , a conservative approach which I've heard from the club but ignored in practise would be a spell after 6 or so games
I can see Trainor impact waining in recent weeks , but bury your head in the sand keep on wacking away until fatigue injury's set in then turn over the slot in the side
