That’s why it was the right lever to pull.

That was one of the best games Polec ever played and he would have put us in front at 3/4 time if his Pooort mate had any composure.

At the game it was noticeable how often we just hit it high to 20m out. The good teams manage to hit up a short kick and generate a set shot somehow. Anything 50m or closer has to be better than bombing the damn thing.

Helmet made a kicking error which got us all on here up in arms as usual. You don't have to be flawless, you just have to be good

Stephens was good generally but that moment was a shocker.

Specifically it enabled the second Carlton goal in the third quarter. If he'd just contested the ball instead of stepping away (against E Hollands ffs) they might never have got any run on. It certainly validated them applying pressure to us.

Clarko knows how to manage guys, he isn't going to treat everyone the same. McKercher clearly responds to this sort of feedback, if it was a different personality I'm sure Clarko would approach it in a different way.
