If Israel stopped undertaking a scorched earth approach every time they try to defend themselves. These proxy groups wouldn't exist.

There are better ways to defend themselves, the way they are going about it in Gaza & now Lebanon isn't it.

Rather than leveraging the ceasefire to remove Iranian support for these groups, they just decide to keep bombing the shit put of them.

The issue is Israel responds to attacks in a scorched earth manner where other solutions exist to minimise the impact to innocent people, which than furthers attacks back against them.

The platform is there of a ceasefire, why not negotiate they will undertake a ceasefire in Lebanon, if Iran in turn confirm they will no longer support and fund Hezbollah in attacks against Israel.

But no, just send the bombs. Thats their problem

The IRGC cant have it both ways.

They would be far better trying to negotiate the removal of US economic sanctions than trying to control a water way they have no right too IMO. Will give them far more economic benefit.
