Changes Round 6 vs Geelong

Beveridge will have his shackles up, so I expect no changes... to team selection, structure or positioning.

It's winnable, but can't see it happening myself.

I'm in 2 minds about jumping into next week's match day thread though. It could go anywhere at this stage, I expect AFP as well as VicPol will be monitoring it closely.

Shuffling deckchairs on the Titanic this week. We're not beating a side like Geelong without English, Libba and Richards. Maybe let's have a look at Carmichael. Give Emmet another go in the ruck. Rest Bont and Kennedy so we don't get anymore injuries to key mids.
Libba sounds like he may be back... Richards may be a chance

The tone has to be set. I’m expecting a regular player to be dropped and on this years and particularly this weeks form it’s West. He was atrocious

I think Emmett gets another game over Croft. Croft has potential but feel like he needs a game in the 2s to get some form.

Assuming Ed is fine with a rolled ankle.

Lobb to ruck full time with Buss coming in.

In - Jaques, Buss
Out - Gallagher, Croft

Why are some people listing Libba as an in? He’s listed as 2-3 weeks on the last injury report.
Would be because he had a game like fitness test this weekend and apparently pulled through fine. Jay Clarke said he's a good chance to play.

Who knows.... but that would be why.m

For who? What small forward is available?
I don’t care, he has given nothing this year. Selfishness has crept back into his game and someone has to be made accountable for poor play. It might be good for him, get a few easier kicks and goals and come back in a fortnight

Assuming Richards is OK.

Buss in for Croft or Emmett, with Lobb to ruck
Jaques in for Gags (Baker was very quiet but has runs on ths board).
If Libba is right he to come in too for Hynes, Dolan or Baker.
Does Baker have runs on the board though? He has had a few good individual efforts and jagged a few goals but he's had 11, 11, 8, 24 and 6 touches of the football playing off a wing.

He's in better form than Davidson in the same position. At least Baker can actually defend and compete for a 50/50 ball

McNeill goes alright. He certainly can cover some ground and knows where the goals are.
He does, although I heard he applied to be a Stormtrooper, but failed their stringent accuracy testing.

Hate the idea of taking Lobb out of defence, but can't cop another flogging like that at stoppages so i think this week we have to bring in Buss, move Lobb to ruck and only retain one of Emmett or Croft
Yeh I tend to agree. I think our backline will still be okay becuase they’ve built some continuity back there this year. Gotta try and halve the midfield battle or back our unicorns up forward to make the most of our opportunities

Last night we just had no chance because stoppage after stoppage was playing catchup

Because its a forum. Pretty pointless discussion really until the injury list comes out and even then....

Bring in Gardner as either FB or Ruck. He can play either position at a decent level. I reckon he'd love to beat his old mob and show them why they made a huge mistake letting him go

Richards avoids damage. Libba in for Gags. I say keep in Emmett. Geelong rucks are different to Hawks. Might as well get games in him.
