Hello all, recently popped down to shark park to watch the PCC 'intra club'. The standard of football at that club is through the floor. It seemed to be some sort of ressies/ seniors and u18s mixture? Hard to tell when everyone looks like a goose with ball in hand. At one point a helpless young looking player was caught in a heavy tackle and clearly had some sort of neck/back damage. Instead of stopping the game, they continued on with the intra club while forming a human shield around the player in the middle of the ground. This could be an ugly year for the sharks who seem to lack leadership, structure and general talent.

Didnt you also make a silly remark on the Div2 forum about point cook bulldogs winning the whole thing and PCC losing by 7000 points every week?
Is this real or are you just a stirrer from the bulldogs?

Some huge losses coming for this mob

Anyone know how Rupertswood and Tullamarine went against Caroline Springs in their practice matches ?

Hey mate, was just having a laugh there apologies if you got offended. I am a long standing member of East Footscray since I did my foot in '17 playing reserves - now a keen watcher of the WRFL. I'll be posting in here throughout the season.

Tarryn Thomas signed at Hoppers

What a crap comment, I think a club like Hoppers would have done their due diligence internally and with the WFNL around bringing Taryn Thomas to the club.
Disagree.

There is a reason that St Kilda, Northern Bullants, Swan District and Thomastown have publicly decided to not sign him.

My question is why are they so comfortable with it when multiple others weren’t. There can only be one reason that I can think of 🏆

I dont think Comfortable is the right word, I would say diligent in its process, anyway lets see how it pans out over the year.

The inaugural (EP01) WFNL's "The WFNL Show" just landed on YouTube and it's a big winner for me. The show starts with introductions from the four presenters, and while I don't know them, they are all heavily involved in WFNL footy in some form. Discussions then move on to the player ins and outs for the teams during the off season. Good to see lots of ex AFL players coming over to the comp. Both Div 1 and Div 2 as well as the Women's competition and Netball are covered. Next up for discussion was the finals and premiership predictions for 2026 - YSE predicted to have an excellent season. Interviews with two players from tomorrow's blockbuster Werribee Districts v Caroline Springs was good to see as well as some more detailed Netball discussions. Overall a polished and professional presentation that moved along at a nice pace. BTW loved the new "The WFNL Show" logo. Let's hope that next week's show also covers the Thirds competition which I love to watch. Click below for a look.

Thanks AH didn't know that was coming, that' a great innovation from the WFNL, look forward to watching each week.

Round 1 after a long summer.

PC by 2 v Albion
Spotty by 10 v Newport
Sunshine by 1 v Altona
YSE by 19 v Parkside
HC by 100+ v PCC
WD by 15 v Cs in GF replay, wish I could get down to Soldiers, CS will be desperate to over turn their extra time GF defeat to WD last season.

Went first to Altona was 7.0 to 0.2 Sunshine's way and 8.0 to 0.2 when I left 10 mins later, incredible how far Altona have slipped, will be a long year for them. Reserves and U18s thrashed as well. The A's probably lucky PCC look destined to finish bottom this year, because I doubt Altona will beat too many.

Then went to Yarraville and watched a very good game of footy in the 2nd half. YSE look very good, very good midfield with Will H-E leading the way between the arcs, good targets up forward. Kane Sexton is tall and a good mark kicking 4. Kaddour also kicked 4 as a smaller forward, very impressed with YSE. Varcoe was doing a good job at HB behind the ball. Parkside also impressed, kept at YSE, didn't go away and moved the ball well at times, could make the 5 and they have improved.

Went to Soldiers Reserve yesterday to watch WD v CS on a cold, windy and rainy day with splashes of sunshine. WD unfurled their premiership flags for the reserves and seniors before their respective games. The first half of the senior's game was an even affair - scores were even at the main break. CS unlucky not to be in front as they had the ball on their forward line for much of the second quarter but couldn't convert. Right from the beginning of the second half WD went up a gear and CS couldn't keep up. Overall a good game and a great atmosphere at Soldiers Reserve.

My video of the second half is below.

Not a good year to be near the bottom. Supposed to revert to 10 teams next year with promotion from Div 2 so 10th-12th could all be relegated.

No I think only one team gets relegated and one team comes up from division 2. Unless another team leaves to the EDFL next year (whispers about Parkside leaving) then maybe 2 teams come up?

Has been reported both ways. May depend on Division 3 starting up again and/or existing clubs staying put.

Reserves - Werribee Districts v Caroline Springs - last quarter from last Saturday's Reserves game.

A goal after the siren from a 50 meter penalty won the game for ???? - you'll need to watch the video!!

The others were scared of all the precious people making a big deal of it.

He's paid plenty for his mistakes, threatening messages is not worth a life sentence, the people who carry on like it should be are nothing but drama queens.

If you describe the actions as "mistakes", you have a real problem.

Whilst I disagree with your "drama queen" comments because his actions were quite serious, I dont think he should be banned from playing park football. Playing sport is a great way to improve a persons mental health and actions going forward.
