Clarko spending some one on one time with Harry off to the side practicing goal kicking

This is good to hear.

Clarko's set shots have honestly been a liability for too long.

You can see his impact on developing PC’s kicking, if Sheezel can become a 2-3 a game mid HF we are cooking

If he did that, 50+ goals a season with the most disposals in the AFL then he would be the Goat.

Dusty Martin’s 2017 (one of the best we’ve ever seen) he averaged 1.25 goals a game (37 for the season). He was a goal kicking mid who would role forward frequently after centre bounces.

Midfielders just don’t kick that many goals.

In saying that, Sheezel could play any of Back flank, Follower, Winger or pure Forward because he’s just that good. As a pure forward I do think he could kick that many.

Why cannt Simpkin play the Dova/JK/Banch role. Quick, good tackle pressure and goal sense?
I agree. If JK isnt being picked then Jy can run with Ash.

Feels like with FOS back we can prob afford to have him out of the midfield full time.

Would be a high quality small forward.
I can't see Jy being a goal sneak in the form he is in. With FOS returning, he will become a nightmare for whoever he runs with.
Almost too good a lever not to pull by the coaches.

So far our best forwards have been Larkey, Trembath, Darling and PC. All play tall. Even Duursma. All can mark well overhead.

hahahaha, I seem to remember a young Clarko in the late 80s lining up out of the goal square down at Kardinia Park under Kennedy. From memory our talls would have been Donald McDonald, Flossy, Darren Harris, and John Mossop. That was a team that relied on smalls/mids to kick goals, Jim and Phil, German, and Larkin. Only had 40 odd years to perfect his craft, well done Clarko.

I remember liking Darren Harris as a kid, don't particularly know why.
