Port’s last three weeks have been a lot better than a 1-2 ledger would suggest… nearly beat the Hawks, trounced the Cats and then were seconds away from winning the Showdown.

Much depends on who (if anyone) the Dogs get back but I can’t see any reason to jump off the home side just yet. Port by 3 or 4 goals.

Dogs regained their identity a bit last week. But with the quality of players out, they simply can't beat the top teams. Bont is still the best player in the comp, playing on one leg. West needs to give us something, a shadow of the player last year.

Feel for Bontempelli, just when he looked a shoe-in for a much deserved Brownlow medal, he suffers injuries to derail things.

West to slot 3 goals and I think we see Bont spend a decent amount of time up forward where he too kicks 3.

Come finals time I’m sure the full headlock will be allowed without a 50mtr penalty.
