I think this Geelong side is far superior than the one which won the Grand Final last year. In fact, I reckon Geelong could easily surpass that 119 point margin that they did last year, in this year's Grand Final.

What you've got to remember is that unlike today, where all of the prospective draftees have their name on each club's recruitment officer computer files or videos, it was more guesswork and a stab in the dark when it came to picking up recruits from those early drafts years.

IMO, if that game doesn't make it into the top 2 or 3 games of an 'all-time best games in Australian Football'-whether it's 50 or 100 games listed or what level if it's AFL or grassroots footy-then I reckon the guy who penned the list (hopefully it's not Mike Sheahan) knows nothing about footy...
