I think he will work his way in to the side. No doubt he’s a classy player. His disposal has been shit for a while but I genuinely think he has the yips. String together some good games at vfl level for the confidence and off he goes

sounds like he struggles at vfl level, does he need a few games in the amateurs to work on basic disposal execution?
Maybe a case of the 2nd year blues
Not uncommon for players to look like they have gone backwards in year 2

A lot more pressure and expectations to adhere to structures and even just making less mistakes

Let’s not eat our own. Trainor is starting out on his career, plugged gaps in 2025, he’s brave, played every game and picked up a Rising Star nomination, which isn’t easy for a Tiger given Shifter Sheehan (Geelong Stooge) has the casting vote. Anyway, he has shown many AFL attributes and is being groomed to replace either Broad or Vlastuin. Before people crack on about his kicking, I’ve seen both Broad & Vlastuin miss many easy passes and they are both legends of our club.

I think it's a concern

LT is a terrible kick of the footy unfortunately and I reckon this is a reason he slipped further in the draft than expected. Not a write off yet but my goodness he needs to improve his skills. Can see him playing a hell of a lot of VFL footy this year.

I think his action is fine it’s more just his decision making that makes his kicking look worse

When you have no opponent and your teammate is 15 metres away and you still miss him, it ain’t decision making. Today was an extremely concerning outing to go along with some other pre season outings. Needs a huge stint in VFL as permanent defender and hours daily spent on kicking at training

With his concussion concerns he was the one i was most worried about out of his fellow 8 draftee class of 2024. Funnily enough he's been by far the most durable. Was one of only a handful who played well yesterday. Yze needs to find his long term spot in the near future but no matter what must keep playing him week in week out. He clearly belongs and looks like a 250+ game player, which position who knows? Maybe he can ask Pops to come down and take goalkicking sessions cos breust hasn't added 💩

Copped his whack for a reasonably ordinary practice match series ... good to see him respond.
How it should be.

surely keeps broad out of the squad. Broad being out was a big part of this kid stepping up. He’s the future
He is the future and would be better for the club to have him remain in the side. However, Broad will be in for the Port game.
