Yeah he kicks a few.I thought he may be a defensive blocker type of player

But, it sounds like Sharp likes to get forward.

Top 6 in the 2km. Was top 5 in the SA squad 2km at the start of the year. Clearly he has some running ability.
I am not a huge fan of comparisons but Dunkley is a good one here.
Sharp lacks the burst away speed from congestion (like Dunkley) but he is not slow and he is not unfit. He will get from contest to contest and will be able to be a link in the chain if needed. Can also take a contested Mark like Dunkley.
He should have been a top three pick. But he is a victim of everybody's love for speed at the moment.
Absolutely agree with this. He just feels like the sort of player we absolutely need. He might not be the flashiest as you say, but if your entire team is flash then you'll be left sorely lacking. We have tried to get a Jobe type since Jobe left and it just hasn't worked out - this is the best option I think we have seen since.Sharp whilst probably being the least glamorous of our selections is the one I'm most excited to see what he becomes. He's the kind of guy that could be a real culture changer.
Selwood was never necessarily the best player at Geelong (though he was pretty close to it), but he was the one that dragged the entire club along with him for a decade.
yep, reading through the draft thread he was a clear number one for many, from start of 2024 right up until about midway through this year.I seem to remember his name from a couple of years ago - when people are fantasising about who they'll pick next year with the first draft pick. Obviously he's been performing at a high level for a while - was he considered a potential stand-out number one pick as a 16 year old in some quarters?
Sharp and Robey should be about to hit their prime when Bewick arrives. Just a little bit exciting.Hopefully another Patrick Cripps. Both slid to pick 13.
Inside grunt with outside class will beat pace every day.
