Non-contact for another week but otherwise has a full training load.

“Hurls had a shoulder reconstruction and he’s really at the end of his rehabilitation phase. He’s been training essentially fully with the group except for contact,” Rundle said on Tuesday.

“He’s at the end of his contact progressions now and should be integrating fully with the group within the next week or so.”

And back in the leadership group too.

Hope he is Ok to play Thursday night against the Eagles. With Ambrose going down we really could use his defensive leadership and it will be good for him to get some game time also against quality opposition

It's just a practice game, no way they risk anyway not fully match fit.

From a couple of weeks ago now but quite interesting anyway. Talks about leadership stuff, coaching succession plan, the players he likes mentoring, and then reflecting on his career generally, one club player, current contract will probably see him out, what it's like playing on the greats.

Apparently played as a forward against Ben Rutten before Truck retired from playing too too, which would be weird I think..

Playing with or against your coach is probably more common than we realise.

Hird, Voss, Buckley and the Scott Brothers come to mind.

Played with the physicality of a 5 year old playing backyard football with their dad.

Would only be in trouble if there was a concussion.. unless they are punishing the action instead of the outcome now.

It was a pretty late fist to the head.
Which would be more palatable for me at least.
