Personally, I thought in a way it chose quotes from Malthouse which made him look a little desperate and emotional - something which I think was unfair. On the other hand, maybe he was actually that raw. As a GFC supporter, I'm prepared to accept that Pods' injury was a massive turning point - which the documentary lingers on.
I was struck by the eloquence of all who were interviewed. Also the honesty - the idea that Bartel and Johnson shared a raised eyebrow after Varcoe's goal is something I never thought of being possible in a game of such intensity.
I felt especially for Dawes, who spoke so openly about the pain he still obviously feels. It's such a brutal sport, in so many ways.
