And the winner of the trade is....Tom Lynch!!!

Even if he's an average plodder, Kozi is going to drag opponents away from Lynch and enable him to kick plenty. The best thing for Kozi early on, is that he will be afforded space and more one-on-one opportunities because Lynch is such a threat. This will enable him to develop his craft and grow in confidence. If he can become an aerial threat initially then find his kicking boots from there, it can only be a good thing for him, for Lynch, our team and ultimately, us.

Kozi's record to date has been average because 1) he's young, 2) too much competition for spots at the Hawks, 3) injury and 4)political selection - choosing another player because he had a big layoff and returned. With a fresh start, opportunities and a new game structure that suits his style, expect him to leap onto the scene.

I'm very excited what this means for our forward structure and development of all our forwards with the extra competition for spots....and all for a late pick!

If he's a good player then why doesn't he play good... lol great movie.

Checked out the stats at Hawks, pretty average.

Hopefully he goes to a new level here with the help of Lynch and being in the presence of No.4.

It's happened plenty of times before so let us all hope for the best.

Structure.

Doesn't have to be (and never will be) an A grader.
Just be a B or C grade second tall that demands a defender that then can't double team on Lynch.

Good cheap business.

A role player...just like our old georgy!

IS this guys any good?

Not a world beater, but does mean Balta, Gibcus etc can remain in their best position down back.

Will be interesting to see how the forward line will now function under Yze's guidance, if it still contains part of our old gameplan then it might be ok for Kozi if he can take a couple of grabs and make a contest to bring the ball to ground.

A change of scenery may inspire Kosi to take another step in his development.

A great mark, decent goal kicker. An yes he has the ability and speed to make it to the wings. A decent chop out in the ruck.

Whilst he has some speed and makes it from contest to contest his a little robotic in his movements.

Needs to work on his goal kicking, on a great day he can not miss! If he misses early finds it hard to correct the trend for the day.

Will never be your superstar forward, but you do have a decent role player with a great work ethic!

All the best at Tiger land Kosi
heard hes soft and doesnt go in hard.

Has there been any mention of his contact? Surely if Hawks only offered him 1x $150k and no other interest we would've only beaten that like 2 or 3 years x $200 -$250k? Was reported Doedee was offered 4x $500k at crows prior to ACL they then dropped it to 2 x$250k. After a few clubs had a bidding war he's now getting 4 X $680k and will miss most if not all of next season. With all these crazy salaries for key defenders I'm glad we drafted Gibcus but can only imagine the crazy sums Balta will get offered. Surely will be $1mil p/a considering duds are getting $700 - $800k?

They chose to persist with Fergie all year then delisted him and lost Kosi. But dont worry they've got 47 year old Gunston back. Bizarre list management.
