Funny how the only players he recognises are the ones that are
talked about in the media the most.
Burton takes a lot of really good speckies and instantly he is the best player for the Crows.

Grow up. Glare can be very obscuring.

How many players have performed better at other clubs once they left Freo?

How many players have performed better at Freo from other clubs?

North Melbourne on the other hand is probably the best example of the opposite in recent times.

As somebody has stated on other threads you can try to be the best by either dragging the other teams down to your level
or by joining them up the top.
To do the latter you have to be honest with yourself.

WHY DOES EVERY SECOND THREAD END UP BEING A DISCUSSION ON THE ADELAIDE CROWS???

I AM ABSOLUTELY SICK TO DEATH OF IT!!!

EVERYTHING THAT YOU WRITE ABOUT, HAS ALREADY BEEN ARGUED BACK AND FORTH AT NAUSEUM FOR THE LAST 3 MONTHS!!

I feel better now that everything is off my chest.

At least Ok.crows generates intelligent discussion, unlike some of our Collingwood friends, with their incessant, unnecessary bleatings....

About time, it took a non crows supporter to give me the figures I
have been asking for.
ADELAIDE
Games Goals Behinds
Jarman, D 20 40 17
McLeod, A 23 29 27
Ricciuto, M 23 27 20
Welsh, S 18 22 12
Stevens, M 22 21 8
Vardy, P 16 18 21
Goodwin, S 23 16 11
Johnson, K 18 15 6
Perrie, I 14 15 16
Burton, B 14 14 8
Edwards, T 23 12 16
Beinke, B 9 12 8

Now lets look at the most probale forward line shall we.
Need I remind you that we are talking about the coming season and not the past season.Fremanltes failures were well documented by me and many other supporters. They are an entirely different out fit this year.

FF: Edwards Fitzgerald Welsh/Beinke
HF: Bode Stevens Burton

FF: 23 ?? 18
HF:?? 22 14

Probally would help a little more if I got the figures on bode and fitzgerald. But that is ok, your telling me that that isnt a weak froward line??
Strong goal kicking midfield aside, that is the weakest forward line in the league at the moment.
There is no point dragging out Fremantles froward line from last year as there is a huge difference compared to this year.Waterhouse played 2 games, longmuir played only half the season in the foward line,Croad and farmer werent there.

How you cant see/agree that this is the weakest forward line in the league I will never know. You have no played that kicked over 30 goals, I would even go as far to say that none of these players would even be the second forward in any afl side in the league.

The Crows forward line is definitely the worst in South Australia :) :)

Time will tell, but I don't think the Crows will be the lowest scoring side this season. Remember - you have to look at the complete package.... and while the Crows don't have the complete package, I'd suggest they are closer to it at the moment than the Dockers.... 2 or 3 players don't a side make ... jsut ask Malcolm Blight lst season.

Actually sabre I gave you figures off the top of my head, but by all means ignore reality if it pleases you.

So are Crows an entirely different forward structure last year. How many times would you have to hear "new look forward line" before something like that sinks in? Of the players quoted below there would have been a grand total of 40 or so games in Crows forward line last year, out of a possible 22*6 = 142 games.

FF: Edwards Fitzgerald Welsh/Beinke
HF: Bode Stevens Burton

FF: 23 ?? 18
HF:?? 22 14

It is not a weak forward line. Stronger than that of about 9 or 10 different sides.

Strong goal kicking midfield aside, that is the weakest forward line in the league at the moment.

Says sabre. High praise indeed, given sabre's reknown in footy judgement. If sabre says it it is just about guaranteed to be wrong.

There is no point dragging out Fremantles froward line from last year as there is a huge difference compared to this year.Waterhouse played 2 games, longmuir played only half the season in the foward line,Croad and farmer werent there.

Similar story for Crows six.

How you cant see/agree that this is the weakest forward line in the league I will never know.

Simply because it isn't

You have no played that kicked over 30 goals, I would even go as far to say that none of these players would even be the second forward in any afl side in the league.

There is no player that played even half a season in Crows forward line last year. For Stevens to get 20 and Burton to get a similar return from much less than 11 games forward is a fair result. Welsh has a near 50 goal returnn from the one year he played a decent number of games forward.

There is not one or two scorers there, there are three or four.

That forward line, or any other that Crows fields this year, will outscore Freos easily. No problemo.

HAHAHAHAHA.

Whats good for the goose is good for the gander mate!
You say Freos forward line is an 'entirely different outfit'....yet you dont say that about the Crows forward line, which is almost fully different from last year.
Talk about bias!!

If Freos forward line is 'an entirely different outfit' then so is the Crows forward line.

This might sound surprising, but I partially agree with Sabre  Adelaide do have a relatively weak forward line (relative to other top8 aspirants). I won't elaborate on it as I think Sabre has pointed out most things already (that and the fact that i can't be stuffed writing a thesis on a subject 4 pages long already ).

No you probably have got it right ! Adelaide do have a relatively weak forward line (relative to other top8 aspirants). There is absolutely no problem with that assesment.

The problem is that is NOT what sabre is saying at all.

Sabre's delusion is "that is the weakest forward line in the league at the moment" which is a vastly different statement.

Summary:

-Adelaide's forward line is weak relative to other top 8 aspirants (daddy_4_eyes)
:- possibly true.
(we will see)

-Adelaide's forward line is the weakest in the league (sabre_ac)
:- no friggin way!
(already shown to be better than at least half the sides)
