Watched Cachia play twice for the Northern Bullants - once in 2010 and once in 2011.

Strong, nuggety type who can win his own ball, stands his ground in traffic, vision OK, kicking average, handballing OK, speed from congestion is a question mark.

Not dissimilar to Lonergan in the way he plays.

Does seem that EFC are targetting strongly built players.

My gut feel ( from limited live viewing ) is that he is just short of AFL standard.

I find it interesting, the out of contract players we still have (Lonergan, Lovett - Murray, Prismall confirmed yet?) are exactly the type of player we seem to be targetting, even with our mature aged rookies likely to be targetted..

Will be very interesting to see who else we target as I think there is some value in the delistings (J.Jones, Stevenson, Bolton, Cachia, Houghton), obviously not all of them will be at EFC (If any).

Is Damien Volta any chance to get picked up. Did a search on the mock drafts board and came up with zilch. Was under the impression he had a good season.

Fact

Gotta say that Albert Proud has some really good AFL attributes.

Two issues

1) improving fitness
2) Off-field issues

Think he has the most ability of the delisted players.

He seemed adament we would have 3 live picks, so that means there has to be another delisting. Who is the big question?

He had a good season, a little inconsistent but has great speed and agility would be a great pick up as a rookie.

hey just curious to knnow what people on here think about all the opinions that we will take daniel markworth with pick 19, i personally dont really like the idea and would be prefering docherty just wondering if those who know have any better realistic thoughts on who we will take.

surely they'll rookie a ruckman. we never do what we set as an objective ala shaun Atley.

Hopefully that is what the talk is about.

It wouldn;t make sense to pick up a young ruckman in the draft who won;t play seniors anyway.

A Rookie however could allow us to pick up a mature ruckman who could be upgrade if any of our other 3 rucks suffer serious injuries.

We dont need another ruck.
Apparently we already have Tom Beachcomber and David Aisle....

Jenkins' versatility - the 199cm giant can play in the ruck, forward or defence - had AFL clubs salivating despite him spending last season in the VFL with Bendigo.
"I don't really know where I play yet as I got thrown around last year," said Jenkins, who was unable to work his way past the logjam of big men at Windy Hill in David Aisle, Paddy Ryder and Tom Beachcomber.
