With Guy McKenna signalling they may offload this seasons #4 pick, i'd highly consider putting a package together including David Myers and Gumby. God knows I love both players, but with Hurley emerging as a real dominant key position player, and with the likes of Dempsey and Winderlich returning after injury I don't know where these two lads fit in.

Reading some draft forums here, pick #4 would see you looking at the likes of Matthew Buntine or Billy Longer. Longer would be especially handy I believe, having a young out-and-out ruckman combining with the young midfield could prove invaluable. Drafting ruckmen is difficult though as their development is quite different.

Anybody else thought of a draft package for pick #4?
I would give up Monfries and pick 19 for pick 4. I would throw in Gumby if they wanted him too

Monfries + 1st round draft pick for pick 4 ?

Would they accept ?

Freo took Chris Bond and pick 21 (clem Michael) for Pick 2 (Brad Ottens-richmond) back many many years, I doubt anyone would be foolish enough to take that in a weak draft, any draft for that matter.

GC want KPP's

Hooker and 19 for 4 and Toy?

I think we're getting overs but there ain't many reasonable key position backs floating around.

EDIT: I just re-read my post, I think I'm dreaming. this is always a fun game.

Bro-in-law and I play this game all the time. He always asks for Hurley. Most recently I said, the only person on the hawks list worth Hurley is Buddy, might need Cyril to sweeten the deal!

Angus Monfries would net us a top 30 pick IMO
Brent Stanton could net us a top 20 pick
Cale Hooker could net us a top 40 pick
Tom Bellchambers should net us a top 30 pick
David Myers could possibly net us a top 40 pick

(these are the players I would look at trading for the right price)

For the record, I would prefer Howlett in our side than Lonergan, he is more than a one dimensional player who is able to play multiple roles.

Couple of players I would like people to discuss

Jordan Jones (West Coast Eagles), 189cm, 90kg, HBF/Midfielder who has gone from reasonable half back flanker to WAFL midfield star. Consistently racks up decent numbers in the WAFL and is purely playing a waiting game as he is behind quite a few at WCE (Hurn, Butler, Waters, Smith, Embley to name a few). A Victorian who was picked late in the 09 draft, wouldnt cost much and just needs an opportunity.

Lewis Stevenson (West Coast Eagles), 189cm, 86kg, HBF/Midfielder, same scenario for Stevenson as that of Jones, doing plenty of good things in the WAFL but simply lacking an opportunity. A jet who uses the ball exquisitely, would fit in at Essendon.

I'd love to be an opposition club trading with you.

Angus Monfries would net us a top 30 pick IMO (probably correct but not worth it in this draft)
Brent Stanton could net us a top 20 pick (huge downside in that option)
Cale Hooker could net us a top 40 pick (hmm hawks got 2 first rounders for J. Hay who had depression issues, KPP's decent ones at that dont grow on trees I think he is worth much much more then a top 40 draft pick)
Tom Bellchambers should net us a top 30 pick (as above with hooker and would not entertain the thought anyway)
David Myers could possibly net us a top 40 pick (keep him, a good pre season away from fulfilling promise, not great against Carlton but not only one, just starting to grow into his body).

Colyer's a promising-looking young player and I'm sure we'd be keen if he expressed an interest in coming back to WA.

I doubt the club would be looking to sell the farm to get him, though.

we'll sell him to Freo. Rossy Lyon has a penchant for taking midfielders from Essendon for first round draft picks, the upside is, this one will play at least one game for him.
