Rules are that you must be 24 years of age or younger at the start of the voting period. Haven't looked it up but Warner was 25 in about October?

And played less than 10 first class games at the start of the voting period.

So that means that some young players in the state comps or who get a gig in the Aussie squads are never going to be in the running to win it.

What a daft rule for an award.

clarke looked like he lost his best friend when they did the nominations.

massive effort from pattinson to get in the top four from only 4 tests. we played 11 in the voting period yeah?? 3 in SL, 2 in SA, 2 v NZ, 4 v India....

Watson was so dominant in the shorter forms. Easy to see why we got him back in the side so quickly. He is an integral part of our side.

Not a fan if Warner getting the bradman award. He is too old anyway. Pattinson the clear winner of that award

copeland was 25, hastings was 24, pomersbach 23, hilfenhaus 24 and brett lee 23 when they won it.

it's not as if they made a sudden change to the eligibility criteria to give another award to warner.

i do agree 25 is probably a bit old for it though, but you tend to mature later in cricket than something like footy.

pattinson would have been pretty close to warner though.

cummins would be about $1.20 raging favourite for next years already.
