happy with that draw. almost looks like a free run through to the final at this stage.
Looks like at least 3 teams with something to prove to me. And the swans took it a bit more seriously under Longmire instead of Roos last year.

Everyone plays 4 games over three weeks and the top 2 teams play off in the grand final in week 4. All other teams play a practice match on the same weekend.
Week 1 is the same as this year, where you play two games with 20 minute halves. Weeks 2 and 3 are normal games (4 quarters). All games are worth 4 points and percentage will decide the finishing order.

I'm kinda hoping that we play in Canberra vs GWS.
Me too. I'd be able to see us play!
Our only GWS game next year is down at the Cattery.
Maybe 2013.
I won't hold my breath to play them here while we're up the top end of the ladder

I might be cynical, but Collingwood play them away so they are not worried about them getting a flogging.
More to do with If they were to showcase the premiers in the new market as they should,Collingwood may have had to do one of our WA trips, and that just wouldn't do,would it.![]()
I would expect all their big games to be in Sydney, and only the smaller ones down here in Canberra though. Manuka doesn't have a huge capacity
Why does everyone care about NAB Cup or whatever it's called. It's great to see the young blokes running around but if we don't get near the final there is no point complaining.
No it's not.I don't care about the nab cup I hope we lose in the first round to be honest... traditionally it's a curse.

Football: The defending champs open their season on the road against Fremantle before an Easter Monday home clash against big rivals Hawthorn. The unfurling of the 2011 premiership flag will wait until round four against Richmond at Simonds Stadium and the first of two Grand Final rematches against Collingwood will be on a Friday night in round eight. The Cats leave Victoria six times and will play twice in Perth and twice in Queensland. They have just three return games against finalists from 2011 - Collingwood, Hawthorn and the Sydney Swans and have seven six-day breaks.
Business: Geelong plays a massive eight Friday night matches in 2011 including blockbusters against strong-drawing clubs Collingwood, Carlton, Essendon and Hawthorn. Seven home games are at the re-badged Simonds Stadium with Richmond, Melbourne and the Western Bulldogs slated to make the trip down the highway. Two home games are at the MCG (Collingwood and Hawthorn) and two are at Etihad Stadium (Essendon and St Kilda). The Cats will feature 16 times on Channel Seven.
Big game: Every side will be gunning for the Cats in 2012. They'll have long circled the dates with Geelong on their calendar. Hawthorn in round two will be big, round eight in the Grand Final rematch against Collingwood bigger again. The Cats will also enjoy locking horns with Adelaide and the Western Bulldogs, both now coached by longtime Geelong identities Brenton Sanderson and Brendan McCartney.
Both times we play Collingwood we play interstate the week before![]()
