Detroit Lions
G Rodney Austin Elon
K Derek Dimke Illinois
WR Patrick Edwards Houston
OL J.C. Oram Weber State
LB Ronnie Sneed Kentucky
I thought Kellen Moore agreed to terms with the lions, or did you leave that one out on purpose?
Not at all fyfie. So from the time I copy & pasted.. 00.36 am AET (early this morning), he wasn't included. DB can appreciate that..
Lots of guys being signed as free agents now....probably will have full lists in the team threads in a couple of days. Leave it up to teh team posters to do that. I see the Eagles have announced 15-20 this evening on their Facebook page
GG hid themAm I blind? Where's the alpha/fantasy threads?
Good callAs a long-suffering Rams fan, I'd be pretty heartbroken if the Browns, or anybody else, drafted Blackmon.
How many kids does he have?I still think the steal of this draft will be whoever takes the punt on Moore from boise state i honestly believe the kid will be a stud has far more offensive weapons as a QB than tebow ever had and I would be hope that a team takes him.
Very happy with Richardson. Perfect draft so far.
I love Kuechly. Great pick by CAR, but pissed that he is going to be in our division for the next 10 years!
And now?Looks like the Dolphins went for a big reach.
I was reading this morning (Grantland) that someone compared Tannehill to Akili Smith in the fact that he was the 3rd best QB in a draft (behind Couch! and McNabb) that was screaming out for QBs and a team may choose him higher than he deserved to go for that reason.
Yikes, not sure how I feel about the Poe pick for my Chiefs.
After taking a punt on a riskier pick in Baldwin last year I was thinking that Pioli would play it safer this year. Obviously we've adressed a need, but talk about boom or bust. Was hoping Kuechly would still be there personally.
Now?Kirkpatrick???
Once againBrowns taking Brandon Weeden at 22. Hmmmm. Im not sure about him, I like Colt McCoy more
They were going to take Wright but TEN pipped them
I would be.Hightower and Jones.
Not in love with either
Spot on, unlucky injury curtailed a quality Jarry Hayne like careerAnother First round reach... Fumble prone David Wilson..
Good call on CousinsHoping Seattle gets Mychal Kendricks and Kirk Cousins tomorrow. Need another linebacker and could do with a backup qb with potential. T-Jack is useless

On Pead-ouch. Jusry still out on BrockSurely Osweiler is a joke?
Pead should be higher, same as Broyles......Geeze, that injury really pushed him off the face of the Earth, he could be a massive steal in the 2nd.
Good callI don't think T-Jack is useless; he played behind a crumbling (and young) O-line, played in a new team with his most well know team mate out for most of the year, Williams underperforming/on a gimpy ankle for most of the year, with a torn pectoral muscle for most of the year and still got the team to 7-7 (Whitehurst was 0-2 as a starter) which is the same record that Hasselbeck lead us to a couple of years back. Not elite by any stretch of the imagination but certainly not a dud.
Having said that I still expect Flynn to beat him out in training camp. Do agree with you though a linebacker would be top priority at the moment and I am expecting a back up QB to be picked. Schneider will be used to overstocking in the most important position on the team from his Green Bay days. However I'm hoping that man is Russell Wilson, followed by..............Kellen Moore.
Irvin is an interesting pick, probably could have picked him up a bit later so I'm a bit disappointed not to see us try to move down the order a bit more. Performed impressively at the combine and seems over his off field stuff and fills a need (according to Carroll the best pass rusher in the draft). I'll back our guys. Also knowing what they've done in the past with late picks; Sherman, Baldwin (technically not but whatever) the extra couple will come in handy.
5 years on and how did all of you go? This is not an opportunity to take a shot , just very interested to compare thoughts and look at where people went right or wrong. Obviously some draft picks like David Wilson are no longer playing due to severe neck injuries, but Woodson did note he liked a fumble, and fumble on his first carry he did . That's just clever posting. Great insight.
Good call
How many kids does he have?
And now?
Now?
Once again
I would be.
Spot on, unlucky injury curtailed a quality Jarry Hayne like career
Good call on Cousins
Just clever. High quality post
On Pead-ouch. Jusry still out on Brock
Good call
That was up to page 18.
How did you go and any changes you want to make?
Spot on..Great post.
I think it shows 5 years in is how a draft SHOULD be graded. Not in the 12 months after it.
The more I look at the AJ Jenkins pick for the 49ers the more I like it.
Dude was 2/3rds of the entire passing game for Illinois in his final year with terrible QB play and no supporting cast.
As for the second round Amini Silatolu woould be nice.
49ers could then use the rest of the draft speculating.
But what percentage of each are back-ups vs productive starters vs elite players? I can't think of a whole heap of elite players that started out as UDFAs.As Woodson points out, there will be 1st Round busts, one staggering statistic is that there are more undrafted players on NFL rosters today than 1st or 2nd Round Picks (and that stat is even more skewed if you add the practice squad)...so maybe the test for the draft should not be who a team picks during the draf tbut who they manage to sign as a rookie free agent?

TrueIt's cool to go back and look at the draft from 5 years ago, especially the comments.
I'd argue though the 5 year timeframe is too long, seriously, unless your Aaron Rodgers, most teams know pretty well after 3 years if they have drafted well or not. This is especially pertinent in the age of fixed term contracts and slotted contracts.

AS for my own efforts, I leave this gem (but to be fair given the roster the 49ers had back then i don't even think they were trying during the draft).
And Griffin is better than LuckTrue
Kellen Moore is still in the NFL but where is Tim tebow?
I don't see other franchises like Cleveland lining up to take luck. And Griffin is better than Luck
