NFL 2012 NFL - Week 14

From watching Ponder against the Packers last week I thought it was a combination of pathetic play from the WRs in not being able to get any separation for 3.5 quarters and then Ponder not staying in the pocket and just taking off at the slightest hint of pressure. Teams don't respect the Vikings passing game without a healthy Harvin as Rudolph as good as he is becomes the only option, cover him and it seems Ponder doesn't have the confidence to throw to anybody else.

The Ponder experiment will continue for another year IMO. Even if the Vikings wanted to go in a different direction I don't see a lot of options either through free-agency or the draft. With the Vikings in rebuilding mode I don't see them taking a veteran in free agency. I'm pretty sure the general lack of quality young or rookie QBs is going to be a big issue for teams that need a new QB for 2013.

Upgrading the WR corps definitely should be an off-season priority for the Vikings. I would like the 2013 Vikings to have Harvin, "speed receiver free agent or draftee", Jerome Simpson, Jarius Wright, and Greg Childs as their depth chart. I could also see the Vikings taking a late round flyer on a size/speed prospect.

The Vikings also need to sort out TE because John Carlson (5 receptions, 26 yards) has been a major bust this year. Rudolph is a stud, and rookie Rhett Ellison (6 receptions, 58 yards) shows potential. The Vikings have a couple of undersized TEs on their practice squad so I reckon they'll be looking for someone in the draft.

I was pretty surprised we went in favourites, but god is the Offence looking sharp right now. We got bloody lucky on the fumble, but other than that, it's incredible.

On the back of 6 straight wins and playing at Foxborough in December - please!

I don't mean to sound arrogant, but ive never during this season feared the Texans and always seen the, as beatable. They're definitely good but it still looks like Brady is the guy to fear

I know exactly what you mean, I get that same feeling about the Broncos.

Given how well Green Bay picked them apart in the air, I was never that concerned about our offence against them. Our D, however, has been miles better than I expected.
