- AP is a goddamn cyborg.
- Mah Hawks. But seriously, they managed to keep scoring with the 2nd-stringers. Wow.
- So many upsets. So. Many.

Its amazing how under the radar how close he is has been. IIRC when Chris Johnson was approaching the mark in 2009, it was all that was talked about, but yesterday was the first time I'd heard anything about it when I heard that AD was just 550 yards away with 4 games to go.

His 154 yards today will bring it more into focus imo because (exactly) 400 yards in 3 games is very do-able given his form this year

The amazing thing about Peterson's season (apart from the fact he is coming back from ACL surgery) is that after the first six weeks of the season he had only 499 yards (averaging 83 ypg). You could argue this was pretty amazing considering his ACL injury was in week 16 last season.

What has happened since week 6 is nothing short of incredible - 1101 yards in 7 games at 157 ypg!

If only this team had a half decent QB and a few quality WRs. (Besides the injury prone Harvin) This team would be leading the division right now.

Couldn't believe the Bills lost that game. Defence completely went to sleep and Rams get a TD. We need a field goal for OT and of course Fitzpatrick throws an interception. This team is so frustrating, we lead the whole ****ing game and lose like that? I stayed up all night and went to be at like 8 AM for this shit!

Unfortunately, it's a recurring theme for the Vikings. The lack of a legitimate downfield threat has been a major roster hole since Randy Moss left the team back in 2005. Sidney Rice was serviceable, especially during Favre's big year for the Vikings in 2009 but he was often injured and eventually left in free agnecy. During the draft I wanted the Vikings to take either Stephen Hill or Chris Rainey and add some much needed speed to the WR corps, but the Vikings were happy to stick with free-agent signing Jerome Simpson instead. Simpson (15 receptions, 176 yards) has been a major disappointment this year and looks to be a #3 WR at best.

Maybe the Vikings will go for a WR in the 1st round of next years draft, but you could argue the team has higher needs at DT and CB.

I feel sorry for Larry Fitzgerald. If any player in the league deserves to get himself to a good team it's him.

Didn't watch the game (thankfully) but according to stats was targeted 11 times for 1 catch of 2 yds. He must cry every time he sees Kurt Warner.

So what happened today in the nfl? Anything exciting or bizarre? Or just another ho-hum week?
Matthew Stafford did his best Mark Sanchez impersonation. That's all I've seen so far.

How badly this Lions team has fallen from play-offs last year to 4-8 this year, although I suppose you could say there record last year flattered them with a lot of big come from behind wins. Just glad the Packers notched another win and now hold a 1 game lead over the Bears and we travel to Chicago next week with a chance to clinch the division. Going to be a great game as Matthews and Woodson are both likely to return.

Tbf they did draft Greg Childs (somebody who had #1 WR potential but was coming back from a serious injury) in the 4th round but then he went ahead and snapped both patella tendons iirc. It could have worked out.

This years draft should be pretty good if you want a potentially quality WR in the 2nd or 3rd round.

I have been thinking about that still figuring all this list stuff out.
In my non expert opinion we need better WR that's no secret and how long should a QB take to develope? I was impressed when ponder first came in but the total lack of a passing game is starting to wear thin and I don't want AP to miss out on good playoff action he is too good a player to waste away in a nowhere team.

From watching Ponder against the Packers last week I thought it was a combination of pathetic play from the WRs in not being able to get any separation for 3.5 quarters and then Ponder not staying in the pocket and just taking off at the slightest hint of pressure. Teams don't respect the Vikings passing game without a healthy Harvin as Rudolph as good as he is becomes the only option, cover him and it seems Ponder doesn't have the confidence to throw to anybody else.

It was sickening to watch him run great routes all day only to see their QB's unable to throw the ball within 6 foot of him.

I am hoping this is the issue time will tell though. The packers are looking the goods for NFC north division currently

If Green Bay beat Chicago next week and the 9ers lose to the pats Green Bay are all but certain for the 2 seed, if that happens i think they reach the superbowl.

If the pack can get the bye and get healthy, they will win the superbowl
