any thoughts on the approach to this weeks GC v GWS game ?

im considering playing most of my GWS & GC rookies on the field, as i see it much like an U18 game, with lots of quick possession & high scoring, rather than tagging etc.

Was thinking the same, but with the amount of injuries/non playing duds my team has had this year all of my GWS/GC rookies should to make my starting team regardless by default...

Did anyone see Lee spurr play? is he any good is there any other defender rookies on the radar? Brown from the crows dont know when he will get a game,Thanks.

I asked the same question earlier. Apparently Ross Lyon spoke highly of him after the weekend. He was always in contention since the preseason and to score 50 as sub is a fair effort. If he gets another game this week and performs he is a good target as the only other guy I can think of is Shaw from the Crows. He seems to be a required player if he is right from hamstring soreness.

Already a few considering Ellis to Spurr this week.

Would be an obvious downgrade if you need some cash, but position security wise I belive Ellis is a safer option. Likely to be rested this week, however not a heap of depth at tigerland at present and therefore still see him getting a regular game after the rest. Also Ellis will drop a few K after being the sub, but in a couple of weeks those dollars will be recovered once the 2 is out the cycle.

Not so sure about Spurr's position security though ... do freo have players likely to return that will take Spurrs position.

Ellis has lost $14,700 and price is now $235,700.
bugg is at 335,500 b/e of 74.Trading out ellis is prob not that smart seeing youll only make little over 100k.
If they start morris sub his b/e is 26 he should get that if brought on early enough.food for thought:eek: hope no one gets a sore head reading this.

The problem is most people have both Morris and Ellis which means they need to get rid of one of them by round 13, and if Ellis gets rested this week, there's no guarantee he'll make much more value by then, hence might as well trade him now lest there be no other Spurr type options come through later.

If you were planning to hold Ellis all year then you don't let it sway you, but if you were planning to trade him before his bye, I'd trade now.

Yea same dilemma.

Am downgrading Bugg to Spurr/Brennan and upgrading Porpz to Sidebum

Going to keep Ellis as i think he will play a fair bit through the year so could be good cover.

But is Brennan or Spurr gonna have better job security?

I don't watch many Eagles/Freo games so any input would be appreciated.

Thinking of downgrading Bugg to either Spurr/Brennan myself and upgrading Milera/Devon Smith to Zaharakis.

Would also like to hear input on Spurr/Brennan as I don't know much about either other than Spurr being a mature ager and Jacob being Monkey's son.

I reckon Spurr's job security would be pretty good, Lyon said during pre season that he wanted to get Spurr on the field. That said, after Monday I'd say that Saad wont be going anywhere soon.

I'm waiting for Darley and/or Docherty to replace Morris/Ellis.

Haven't seen too much said about Delaney from North but good enough for a starting HB spot this week for Roos.

tommy walsh getting a run for us this week. if he performs well i'd say he might have pretty good job security. i think longmire might be fed up with jesse white, so if walsh performs well i reckon he'll keep him out of the side. so, watch this space!
