He's not going anywhere, unless there's some bizarre back scene story re: him and Buddy. Does Kennedy have any sisters?

What types are you guys likely looking at for the Draft

Mids, mids, mids.

Probably whoever out of Freeman, Billings and Bontempelli lasts to #9.

As others have said it’s really the Midfield that needs to be addressed.
I think at P9 we will go best Mid available, but given we’ve added Michie and Tyson, both inside mids we still need to address what IMO has always been our biggest concern being outside pace and spread. I rate Sheed, but I think Freeman is our man because of his explosive pace.

Outside of that we need to add another young KPD at some point and a small forward. I’d like to look at Dayle Gartlet at P40 if he is still there. He can play that attacking small forward role whilst he builds a tank to go through the middle, provided he can apply forward pressure.

and Crouch if Sheed already taken

Bad reports about Crouch's professionalism and attitude.

Clubs thought he presented very 'slackly' at the Combine.

I've only watched the highlight clips on the AFL website but Crouch impressed me the least out of the contenders at pick 9, just seemed to be bomb it long every time without much thought, anyone's ball.

Must admit, I felt the same

Loved his hardness at the ball - but other things didn't impress

Sheed has impressed me the most

I am not a draft follower though and I'm purely basing this off the vids - I realise they can be misleading

Note your point re. speed, however I think it's more important to just draft the best mid available at this point. Placing a premium on speed is no good if the other parts of the game aren't up to scratch. From Knightmare's mock draft, these comments worry me:

"To improve Freeman needs to firstly find the footy more consistently, he can find 25 disposals one game and less than 10 the next. He can also continue to improve his hands in close and become more of an inside distributor by hand instead of just jamming into onto his boot in close, so he does need to be more aware of what is around him in traffic in those situations where he can’t just burst away."

N. Jones was the same early on , kid will learn .

I thought Jones was a bit more trying to break tackles (which he could do in juniors with ease) as opposed to jamming it on the boot

That as well , Jones learnt through experience ,this kid will as well(big assumption on my part i realize)
If i was looking through the kids available in the draft , i would be looking for the hunger to improve , to learn ,not just what they have(or haven't) now.

Freeman still averaged over 22 touches this year, don't think he had under 10 touches once.
It's still the only criticism of him that I’d have (finding the ball). He didn’t get that much of it during the champs.

Sheed on the other hand racks the ball up and kicks goals. He is more of a footballers footballer.

Don't get me wrong, I thought Freeman looked good in his clip

Sheed just impressed me more

Agree with what you say though

In one of the clips on deetv when Burgan was talking to T Viney and Taylor, they both pretty much said they don't put much reliance on the stats and times at the draft combine, they put a lot of weight on who has the right attitude and desire to improve, work hard etc etc
