I saw him in an interview and he was very impressive. Where is he expected to go at?
as this year's draft, I think depends on what a club values more, he will range from 5-15

I have a mate involved at SANFL level who reckons Aish is most over rated player, says there is strong thought that he is very soft and doesn't like the hard ball, perhaps he will fit in at Melbourne.
People are saying he'll be better than Gibbs, so maybe he'll grow out of the "softness"

The heat was on from the get go, certainly wasn't a flattering game no where near the hard stuff... Dumont best 3 players on the ground

I used to be keen on bontempelli but after hearing he is now at 194? Could have read wrong I just dunno what to do with him... To much of a project player for mine we need someone who knows their spot and plays it straight away

Yep he's at 194cm now.

Im warming to Acres being my new top preference. He just seems to be exactly what we need. Big tall midfielder who can play anywhere on the field

I don't know much about him, but is he going to be the tall pure midfielder that we need (a la Pendlebury) or will he just turn into a utility mr fixit type like Walker?

with us, who knows. Nothing we love more than drafting pure mids and turning them into utilities

Hes a tall midfielder dare i say in the Pavlich mould. Hes about 190-192cm can play anywhere on the ground, can provide a target up forward. Has had shoulder injuries this year but was looking to be a certain top 10 pick before this year.

So with this draft being a "weak" draft where as not much talent beyond pick 30 (obviously a subjective opinion and as we all know there maybe late bloomers and sliders)

First Pick- Best available (probably midfielder)
Second Pick- Midfielder (unless McCarthy slides)
Third pick- this is where things get interesting unless there is a kid who slides (as this pick will be in the 40s) do we go a mature age player?
Fourth pick- will almost definitely be a player out of one of the state leagues.
Fifth and sixth picks- rookie upgrades

So possible mature aged recruits and there list of priority's

Joel Tippett
Mitch Thorp
Kane Lambert
Shane Tuck
Ben Brown

Any other suggestions? how do we rate the above players?

nat fyfe mould, pavlich is a beast, Acres is very much in the pendles fyfe mould not a brute....

and as SIN (i think) said his 190-192cm is at draft camp, where everyone gets measured in their boots.. may have grown but id say 188-89cm which is still big!

bit worried people are getting sucked into the "big midfielder" thing. Was a catch-cry through Freos run "0o0o0 their big mids" but for every Fyfe, Pendles, Barlow, there's an Ablet, Murphy, Swan
