I'm going to tweet Rogers so I can change my username to Blacres.Taking bets how long it will take AM to change his name to Cripps&Bloods
Cripps had good numbers all year in the WAFL despite not being suited to that type of footy as it's not stoppage riddled like footy in the southern states.
Once he got to nationals and they were all on the same fields he led the championships for clearances (more than one clearance per game more than the next closest) and second among all players (first among midfielders) for contested possessions.
Had better disposal efficiency than noted good ball users Acres and Johnson which is impressive given the way most of his possessions were earned. Had nearly 20 touches per game in these shortened games, I would think once he gets to an AFL standard with his endurance and can get to more contests plus being in a league (AFL or VFL) where the stoppages are a lot more frequent with the wet grounds and higher numbers around the contests he will be winning a lot more of the ball.
Very big boy that uses his body extremely well to win the ball.
play the devils advocate here but could he have been a big boy among boys?

Would love to roll out Judd, Robinson, Bell, Murphy, Gibbs, Graham, Mclean, Curnow, Carrazzo, Menzel and a bullocking mid next year.
With number eight backing them up in the ruck.
If we get Cripps, then he might be what we were hoping for in Grigg.
I think he showed some good glimpses though...I do recall a handy ability to free the arms and dish off the hands on a couple of occasions. Not sure he had the intestinal fortitude for it on a permanent basis mindGrigg was never drafted as a contested ball winner.
In fact, he was universally described as an outside player prior to him being drafted.
Anyway, read on the Collingwood board that Hawthorn recruiter was on SEN and said the top 10 would look like this:
1. Boyd
2. Kelly
3. Billings
4. Aish
5. KK
6. Schaz
7. Lennon
8. McDonald
9. Salem
10. Freeman
So, if you assume Sheed goes to WC at 11. Who do we think Richmond may take?
What does that leave @ 13? Who would be everyone's choice out of the players available?
surely not Tsitas at 13? If we took McCarthy, Tsitas at 39 wouldn't be too bad.Not surprised we'd take Cripps tbh, after seeing his stats after the champs, probably over shadowed by the love for crouch or the possibility of getting Lennon or Salem as a slider...
It's Acres or Cripps or Tsitas for me...
39, 51 is anyone's guess, bring on tomorrow night!!!!
What time is the draft tomorrow?
Coverage starts at 7:00pm tomorrow evening on Fox Footy.

He would if he ran in to it...If we are to take a midfielders we need one that hurts the scoreboard..
Cripps seems all the rage ATM, what were his stats for the year.. How many WAFL senior games did he play?? Does he score goals?? If we are to take a midfielders we need one that hurts the scoreboard..
From the WAFL website it seems that he played one game for the ressies and spent most of the time in the colts.
Who thought night time drafts were a good thing? Do it during the day ffs.
Every sport i can think of that has a draft does it at night time.
Not what you want to hear from a likely first round pick. Would mean that either his WAFL club don't rate him that highly or his body isn't ready for the rigours of senior footy which at 188 -192cm is probably understandable but obviously comes with a few risks.
I still want Lennon if he slides... He goes for Carlton guys!
I just don't like the whole attention being dragged to it. There shouldn't be a *massive* fuss made of it. I recall a few years ago they did it during the day and I thought it worked really well. Plus there wasn't this shitty top 10 countdown.
I suppose any chance to market anything will probably be taken these days.
