Injury + loss of confidence + struggling team + laconic playing style + poor coaches + resident scapegoat = early career form a distant memory for poor old Cale.

Suspect he'll continue on in the WAFL.

I think you're being generous to Cale. He wanted to play football on his own terms. He had it easy in his first 2 years when Bailey allowed him to play loose across half back getting cheap kicks. The game is now about contested footy, something that Cale failed to grasp.

Yeah you're right, I am being a bit generous. He never did adjust. My stance probably softened somewhat given he was banished to West Coast. Rose-tinted glasses and all that.

I actually like the idea of throwing a life line to Nahas as a mature aged rookie.

We have many deficiencies on our list & a small fwd is one. I think he is 26 in a few wks time & played 6 games last yr in a team that moved up the ladder. The previous 2 yrs he played 22 games a season, with 2011 netting 29 goals & 2012 - 34 goals. We really have nothing lose from what I can see if it doesn't work out.

The draft pool is supposedly shallow so I hope we are at least speaking to him about being rookied!

Poor form from James Magner today. You've got a short memory Magner. If it wasn't for the MFC you would've never player AFL footy in the first place. And take your issues up with Neeld and Craig, both of whom are no longer at the club. No need to pot the club that gave you a shot when 17 others didn't.
Magner's main problem as a footballer??? He wasn't good enough. Now he's coming across as a sook as well. Which club in their right mind would want him on their list. Poor form, James.

Took a pot shot during the year at some supporters online too. Starting to sound like a right kent.

Oh so this is about the article in the paper? He said nothing wrong in the paper, he should have been playing this year no questions about it.

Whether we retained him or not is a different story but there is absolutely no doubt he should have been playing.

Said nothing wrong.

"Craig was on love with fast players". Or maybe he just didn't rate you, Magner?

There is no way in hell the only gold we have recruited is jones and frawley in x amount of years, players who havent exceeded expectations must have a common link, hence getting stone

Disagree. If he came out and said that he wasn't given any feedback on the areas he needed to work on, or that he met all the criteria that the coaches had asked of him at Casey, I'd have some sympathy for his gripes about not getting a game.

Also no mention of why he thought that Roos didn't rate him. He's coming across like a sook which won't endear him to other clubs.

"I'll miss the AFL environment but I'm not sad about leaving Melbourne footy club." Well James, we'll move on without your blistering pace and exquisite foot-skills too. It'll be hard, but we'll give it a shot.
Is that an exact quote?

Garlo was actually in the side and seen as best 22 a year or two before Frawley.
