You could play Rowe as a 4th ruck and have Roughy in the fwd line if you want DPP. I think certain forward rookies will have more chance of playing than Rowe.

your missing the point.

by having rowe as the ruck dp as oppossed to roughie (up forward) makes a huge difference.

it allows you to start currie on your field instead of a forward rookie

you swap rowe (f8) for cox (r1) then sub currie on for rowe, whilst putting cox on for a forward rookie in F6

that way if currie comes out and kills it, you wont miss out on his awesome scores. if he dosen't, well it wont matter to much because the fwd rooks don't look flash anyway. apart from mcaffer. neade, paps, kennedy, lee, dont inspire confidence. and we havent seen any of menzel, daniher or mayes.

jaksch looks ok but he is bound to be in and out

Currie is going to get awesome scores? His job security is as poor as those other names you mentioned.

It appears that some people are missing the point that Goldstein is categorically the no 1 ruckman at North. We're one of those teams that uses practise matches for practising stuff that you wouldn't practise in real games. :thumbsu:

Anyway, I'd say Leuenberger is too risky now, which is a bummer as you probably have to find another $200-300k to ensure you have solid R1 and R2. In my case, this means dropping from 5 to 4 premium mids, down to a Moloney or Luke Parker. No terrible, but not ideal.

Well it worked. He's a gun

Is it feasable to go in with Jacobs and Currie, with two rookie (Rowe/Witts) and Cox as a FWD

Why not? if Currie doesn't play, Cox goes ruck and a fwd kid comes on. Or you do a captain loophole :)

Just out of curiousity which fwd kids have you got? Because i am not extecting any of them to play regularly. I currently have mccaffer and neade.

What are people's thoughts on mummy?
Mine's a lovely old duck who loves a natter & a good cuppa.

How's this help with SC though?

Love it!
Not convinced Mummy will come straight back in at his best. Admittedly he is cheap ATM but I think there are better options with less risk.

But then if Rowe and Witts don't play, you have three doughnuts from round 1. To even consider this your forward line would need to be stacked with 6 premos.

Currently, my forward line looks like...

Cox, Pavlich, Ryder, Bartel, Martin, Macaffer (Spangher, Kerridge)

The last 2 are just there waiting for the round 1 teams.

I'm struggling boys. This Leuenberger business has thrown me into a spin. Instead of me reshuffling half my side I have a few options which I'd love some advice on. I have 846000 to spend on 2 starting ruckmen. At the moment I'm leaning towards Jacobs + Longer and then trade Leunberger in as soon as he comes back. A waste of a trade I know. There is also an option where I go Bellchambers + a 350k-400k option. However I don't trust any of the players in that bracket.

Maybe look into Reg Hickey from the Saints.. I flirted with the idea fora little while before settling on Jacobs/Mumford.. Even if Mumford does get injured/suspended, NicNat should be back by then and firing on all cylinders..

Both Naitanaui and Sandipants are possible round 2 selections. Anyone thinking of taking the risk and carrying them on the bench and hoping either of them actually return for round 2?

Maybe it's just me, but I don't trust Sandilands at all any more... No matter what kind of run of form he puts together if/when he returns, I'll always be worried his foot will blow out again.

He's on my "Do not draft" list in my draft league - Wouldn't take him in the 10th round.

No, even if NikNat does come back R2 which is a big maybe... He will take 2-3 weeks minimim to get back into it. So not only will you carry him through R1 but you will have to put up with some poor scores for the next month. Just leave him and use a trade early in the season when he regains fitness. His first score over 100 grab him. I think he will be cheap as chips by Round 7-8. Sandilands I doubt will be back that early plus he's too much chance of re injury so I wont be looking at him at all this season.

reckon it might be the last 3 spots suspect at Rd1 - depending on pies returning and how the kids play this weekend Macaff could be dodgy

Its not i don't trust either player, i don't trust the coaches - one week ='s 4 weeks, 3 weeks ='s 8 weeks etc etc
