team placeholder.

Okay so I've read the rules, don't really get how scoring works? We vote on who we think is the best...?

The higher the score on this voting criteria below, the better the team is in that area. So if you have Cloke, Betts, Breust, Buddy and Gunston in the forwardline, you'll be getting pretty much 15/15. You don't score your own team, you give a score for all the other teams your competing against. After that, the top-8 scoring teams do a mock finals where you vote in a poll that will be setup in a different thread to see if team x would beat team y. It took me ~ 2 1/2 hours to score the other 17 teams in last years competition - would've been less but the computer froze and I lost some of what I'd already done. I hope that helps :).

At the end of the draft, we vote on the structure and balance of each line up.
Forward line (out of 15)
- 6 points; Aerial prowess (eg goals via contested marking, leading)
- 6 points; Ground level (eg goals via crumbing, goal sense)
- 3 points; Defensive pressure (tackling, speed)

Midfield (out of 20)
- 6 points; Inside skills (contested ball, clearances, tackling)
- 6 points; Outside skills (spread, speed, skill level)
- 6 points; Midfield depth (number & quality of players who can rotate through midfield)
- 2 points; Tagging (shut down ability)

Ruck (out of 10)
- 4 points; Tap work (hit outs to advantage in all ruck contests)
- 4 points; Around the ground (marking, pushing forward, dropping back)
- 2 points; Ruck cover (secondary ruckman)

Defence (out of 15)
- 6 points; Aerial prowess (marking contests, spoils, intercept marks)
- 6 points; Ground level (shut down skills)
- 3 points; Rebound (run and carry, kicking penetration)

Thanks that makes sense. Kristof has graciously accepted my offer of being my buddy. I think I'll be okay but have excellent help if needed.

You guys still need an extra - or you need to recut your picks to suit... Daniel1812

No rush - when you get to geoffa32 just make your call and slowly update your OP picks to suit. I'll try to assist as best I can - but will leave the bulk of it to you Daniel1812 as I'll try to keep up with both games tomorrow.
