Read an article yesterday somewhere. Young disputed that Cam had not requested a trade before the extension and said he won't be staying in Sydney after his contract is up.
I don't think that's what happened. Young disputed that Cam had not requested a trade during this season. The extension was done in early 2014.

He said claims by GWS that McCarthy didn’t request a trade before signing a contract extension weren’t true.

And he said the Giants could still budge on their McCarthy stance.

“Fremantle will come out in the next couple of days and they’re going to give GWS their first round this year and first round next year, if GWS need those picks they may very well do it.

“I’d love to see him home but I really don’t know, there’s going to be a lot of twists and turns along the way.

“It’s not about GWS, it’s about living in Sydney. Once his contract is up he won’t be staying there.”

Good find. It is certainly reported as you said. But I'm pretty sure we both listened to the two radio interviews that Young gave yesterday, and that this article is based on. Do you remember any comment such as this? I remember it as I described it above.

Well he didn't add much that we didn't already know. Clubs are already meeting at the combine and discussing trades.

He has heard that Crowley may be looking to go back East and may be looking for a club.

So would people be off it if A.Black came to freo for a late pick?

Personally, for a late pick I wouldn't mind if Black makes his way to freo in 2016.
Seems likely at this stage. Norf want to offload his contract cap pressure. He's a very expensive, long term contract VFL player for them.

I reckon that Black will prob get to us. If the the Sunshine deal goes through also that would mean that we would have reasonable KPF stocks going forward. Sunshine, Tabs, Black and Apeness with Fyfe and A Pearce to provide backup in this area as well.

Of course we could still have Pav next season as well but I am very doubtful that his body could hold up for another AFL season.

What gives you guys confidence that Black won't be the same for us as he is for North?
If he comes cheap then I can't see why we wouldn't take the punt as long as he passes all the relevant testing.

There's not exactly anyone else banging the door down for selection.

You never know he could have a game where he takes a grab and kicks a few sausages and all of a sudden the confidence has risen a bit.

He won't be 4th in the pecking order here, that would obviously be a bigger motivation for Black for starters. If his shoulder is still bothering him, could he go down the same path that Fyfe and Ibbo did with their revolutionary shoulder repairs?

I'm not convinced that a surgeon will be able to fix a healed and scar filled shoulder. Fusing bone only to break it off and fuse again might not be possible.

He needs to be able to mark or his value is zero in my opinion.
