I though i read somewhere months ago, one poster reckoned the reason they were holding it in dec was so the cost isnt included in the 2015 financials. Not sure how or why that works myself but the one club line does sound lathered on a little thick for me regardless.
The cost would be pretty insignificant, so I doubt that would be the case.

Hey guys , I am looking at doing a video of the AFC throughout the years.

I'm looking for key moments around the years of 1991 - 1996 specifically. At the moment I have R1 1991 v Hawks , Jameson v Fitzroy winner in 92 , Modra - Mark of the year in 93 , Final Round vs Collingwood 93 , Elimination Final 93.

Don't judge as it's my first video i've ever made ;)
Don't forget the reaming handed to us by the umps in the second half of the prelim final against Essendon. That was special.

West coast and Freo had theirs in December 2014 and no one cared then.

Except the players who moved to rival clubs who were not invited or felt comfortable going.

If the AFC held it ion December, it would be attention whorish as well.

Anyone get a sense of Deja Vu ? .......Trigg ......Craig ......

Surely you have to move forward not keep rehashing the past

You can say many things about Trigg, Craig and Charlie Walsh, but they do get that team fit.

Carlton maybe the most unskilled teams next year but they will have one of the best fitness bases and that will help them in 2017/18 and 19 when they really start to develop.

This is not a bad move for them.

Port's B&F must be real interesting for Charlie Dixon and Jimmy Toumpas, celebrating their losses during the season. What about the players who got delisted, did they get invited? Has Andrew Moore left Richmond's pre-season training to go back to the club that sacked him?

There is a reason clubs have their B&F before they make their list changes.

Danger picks up his yellow jacket to cover his cats insignia.

I find people who start passive aggressive comments with "I find" are nearly always douchebags.

It's a joke, get over yourself.

Okay - people that are still making jokes about Adam Goodes being racially vilified are assholes.

Hopefully that's less passive.

As far as I'm aware, balance of probabilities is the burden of proof required in civil trials. Comfortable satisfaction is what I understand to be the burden for the WADA code. Which is obviously a more difficult burden to satisfy.

But again, your claim that they were remarkably lenient is based solely on the fact that they weren't found guilty which you likely disagree with. Perhaps they weren't comfortably satisfied that each and every player charged had been given TB4.

My feelings are - if you can track a performance enhancing supplement from manufacture through to it being received by a sports scientist, and that sports scientist then administers A drug in the same manner you would administer THIS drug, and no records are kept of what drug has been administered other than some anecdotal reports that its the "good" thymosin (though even that evidence from the players is inconsistent), and if some of those players then register abnormally high levels of Thymosin Beta 4 - well, I am comfortably satisfied with the weight of evidence.

That being said - I do have my own preconceived ideas on this, and I'm not able to be impartial. It just seems incredibly suspect to me.

LOL....what's you point?

No point particularly.
I watch a lot of abc, sbs. I ain't nowhere near 75. It's more to do with the content they do show and the annoying advertisements they don't have.
And I can't be stuffed recording and skipping ads. I thought the 75 jibe was a bit judgementle.
IDGASEW.

Are you serious?

You took offence? ***shakes head****

Agree. The elevated levels in 2 players might be the missing link. Did Dank perhaps sell TB4 to outside football customers, how strong was the link of that exact substance to the EFC?. Would I be comfortably satisfied that a player or 2 has taken a banned substance, I'd say yes. If a player was standing in front of me, would I be comfortably satisfied that he'd taken a banned substance, probably not.

Knowing that there was an appeal available to CAS, I don't take claims that the panel provided a contrived result very seriously. Nor do I think it's likely that they misunderstand or deliberatly misapplied the burden of proof they were required to uphold. These seem to be persons that would place a high value on their credibility and integrity. The likelihood that they deliberately went easy on the players is next to zero.

Brendan Bolton is planning to ride in the tour de France! ;)

nah, hours on the bike is old tech, would be lucky to square them up with the rest of the comp let alone make fitness an advantage.

2005-06 was Craig's golden period. He got so close.

Everything since has been about recapturing those seasons and trying to do it again, only with a bit better ending this time.

We saw him hanging doggedly onto ideas and players from that era. He has struggled to move on. Crow-mo (Vale) illustrated it as Craig writing a kick ass debut novel but then struggling with the follow up. Had invested all his best ideas and strategies first up and couldn't reinvent or evolve.
