Was actually weighing up between Hartley and Glass-McCasker during my last pick, so we'll grab Hartley here. He should be able to play straight away as a replacement for Carlisle, allowing Hooker (or Hurley) to stay forward.

Recruited from: Murray Bushrangers

Tall, developing key position player who went undrafted last season. After being moved to the backline, he has shown significant improvement. Played with the Murray Bushrangers this year as well as playing some games for Footscray in the VFL.

I wanted Hartley with this pick but have gone for another KPD. With McPharlin retiring, Johnson (31), Dawson (29) and Silvagni (28) aren't that young. Freo really only have Alex Pearce has a young KPD, so I think they need another developing backman

Pick 66 North Melbourne - Matt Hanson

Inside midfielder who played for the Tasmania under 18's in 2013 and despite being the best in the team for endurance and tackling was just an ok midfielder but had his breakout game in the TSL senior grand final with 31 disposals in South Launceston's first ever statewide premiership and last ever game. Didn't do enough to get drafted but showed that there might be something there in the future.

Did the right thing in that pre-season and came back 10kg heavier, 4cm taller and tore the competition to shreds. Had multiple 40+ possession games, represented the state, won the club best and fairest and dominated the Foxtel cup. Also developed a one handed ball carry out of packs and a very good side step. Somehow missed out on being drafted again but once again did the right thing and packed his bags for Victoria.

Played for Werribee this year in the VFL and continued his strong form, averaging 22.7 disposals and 5 tackles a game, winning the clubs best and fairest and making the VFL team of the year. Only turned 20 in May and will be ready to play round one next year and will do everything to ensure he succeeds. Hanson is a better prospect than most of the players taken in the second round, not much of a draft this year.

So I've thought about it and nobody I like or have seen enough has slid to this pick so I'm going to upgrade Jack Sinclair from the rookie list and assume they'll take a DFA for the last pick.

I considered Reuben William, Kerbatieh and Hardwick but don't think they're senior list types...great rookie picks though.

If there is space on the list, then the spots will go to 2 more of their Academy types in the PSD.
I've really struggled to get information on them, even though I saw them play at QEO. Believe me, I was NOT looking for Sydney Academy players at the time. I actually wrote up a summary and most it translated as "I don't know them".
