Yeah was just making that point that its not impossible for 3 from the same team to average high. FWIW I think Pendles and Sidebottom will average higher and Swan more likely around 100.

At 100 for swan hes a great buy
sidey big improver

Yeah agree with this but the bloody Rd 12 bye makes it difficult with Gaz, Fyfe, Pendles, Sidey all out.

Swan wont make too much of a difference you should be able to cover him in the forward line. And maybe this is a sign you should be taking Jelwood on board :D

Or

SJ

Or sj

Sj will be 15 sc points average better than golfboy by years end

I think your wrong there. I have nothing to base it on except a feeling, and i'm feeling Caddy will be closer to Stevie J than that. Time well tell.

Except, unlike Caddy, you'll have to account for at least 3 weeks of Stevie J being Stevie J.

Agreed and that's where the Total points versus average thinking takes over

And the way SJ misses games is the most frustrating. At least when players get injured for 4 or so games you can just trade them out, he misses 4 or so games at random times so your almost forced to just bench him and grin and bear it.

Another win for Caddy :p

unless rookies step up i doubt this will change

I can actually understand that, last year only Lewis topped the ton for the Hawks, and for Geelong Jelwood is your only certainly, but you have to leave one of the top mids out.

I dont mind Clark and Blease for that matter, not sold yet, but on my watch list from Geelong. Nothing but WhiteX from Hawthorn has even been considered yet.

Hartung! Reckon he will be the Dom Tyson of '15 if he gets game time and shakes the vest.

Can't see Hartung being in the same class as Tyson myself. Is pretty quick but Tyson is a more polished footballer.

Wouldn't mind Jed Anderson getting a decent crack with the Hawks, reckon he has the makings of being a very good cash cow.

Yeah I might have overstated it comparing him to Tyson. I think he could apprecaite to 350-400 though. Anderson is another one I'll watch but Hawks side will probably be tough to break into.

I'm dubious of Blease. Clark at least has some good history. I don't understand the Clark venom from a lot of SC guys on here - no one is counting on him to win them the season, but there's no reason he can't double his value.

Blease if named yes consider
m clark.no for me
wcross will start vfl

Yeah WhiteX seems better suited as a downgrade target.

Not sure why everyone is so put off by Clark though, looked in good nick so far over the pre season, and provided he plays should be good for 80 odd points imo, managed 84 at Melbourne and that was without spending much time in the ruck.

Will wait until NAB cup to make a verdict, but well and truly on my radar this year, and pretty sure its not bias.

My fear with mitch is game management from the cats.
Will he play 2nd fwd only?

They have had some trouble with their forward line so he's probably a good candidate for a fair run early on. Don't think they recruited him not to play early on as he fills somewhat of a need for them.

Beat me to the punch on Clark :D.

Blease is just a good fit for Geelong at the moment. Adds a bit of pace and with Christensen now gone, it's what we need in the middle. Cockatoo will over take him at some point, but he needs some time.

Blease was also just out of favour at Melbourne, actually played some alright games early, but I think he struggled a lot with the constant change in team structure. 5 coaches in 6 years doesn't help with player development.

Has some of the attributes Geelong is looking for, so if he is managed well and finds a role should be a good little cash cow.

Yes, game management is an issue. But that goes for any rookie and, let's face it, Clark's price is lower than most 1st round, "might start" rookies. I think too many people are looking at him as a veteran and forgetting they are paying rookie price.

Vardy wont start the season, so Clark should fill the role of back up KPP to Hawkins and 2nd Ruck to HMac and Simpson.

Depending on Simpson and HMac, he might tend to stay in the forward line a bit more, but he should still be able to make a bit of money. Geelong will be itching for a second target up forward, so they will use him a fair bit if he presents well, and Hawkins will usually get the best defender.

The issue I see, is how they will set up if Stanley, HMac and Simpson all play together.
