I've considered KK but it goes against my rule of picking second year players. I think KK can average 80-85 but if Pittard has a break out I think he could get to 90

Big call. Hasn't done anything in 4 seasons that suggests he can jump from a 60 average to a 90 average.

Last year he played 22 games and averaged 66.7 in SC & 66.0 in DT. This is a concern for me, as I generally look for players who's SC average is much higher than their DT average, especially for HBF types. They need to be super efficient where they still hurt teams with less than 15 possies, because most don't average 20+ possies like a Malceski or Simpson for instance. In 2014 Pittard collected 20+ possies only 6 times & in only 1 of those games did he tonne up. Says to me that he either plays too deep or doesn't hurt teams with his rebounding enough to make him SC relevant.

At least with Pittard you know what role he will play.

I've done some research & it appears it's all about kicking efficiency with Jasper.

According to Port fans & from what I've seen so far this year, his kicking is somewhat more clean & tidy and is less in bomb & hope.

72 & 50 sc points so far this preseason whilst being subbed of in both games.

Shephard interests me aswell scores of 87 & 117 so far in the preseason, what do you think of him Gingy ?

Why are you considering either if these blokes? Not being an ass, serious question. I've seen their names tossed around a bit and mustbe missing something
Defensive mid price breakout options.

85-90+ avg is the goal in a perfect world.

I think his average is lower due to the 22 & 11 sub scores he got. Also think the reason for a not so great DT/sc ratio is his DE and decision making. He looks to have improved both which will help his scores. He avg. 80 over his last 8 or 9. Only one 100+ but a few 90's. He has looked good in NAB. Risky pick tho

I had Sheppard in his rookie season, as a Def benchie. I have to admit I haven't noticed him at all since then, but just going by his first 5 years in the AFL system, he doesn't appear to have improved all that much, at least according to his SC numbers & games played...

Disregard if you think he will play 22 games & a role change to full time mid.

I guess the big question will be what happens to his kicking efficiency when the heat gets turned up. These NAB games are played at minimal intensity and we all know how good everyone can look at training. That would by my concern with him.

Im just not too sure who to choose under 370k. I already have Pearce and KK.
I (at this stage only one mid pricer) i think any more than 2 is a risk. But it might workout if peeps pick the right ones.
