Tomic dead set trolled through the entire match and let lleyton back in. hewitt fought hard and then when he was playing better tennis and got to have two match points, Tomic pulls out the point of his life. You couldn't of written a worse script for Lleyton to exit the US Open, ok maype a straight set loss but what was that...

Paire has been playing well since the clay court season. After the Aus Open this year he was down to 149, now at 41 and with a 4th round will move into the top 35.

Tsonga has had an indifferent year, the only real highlight was making the semis of RG. But he has a big shot of making the semis here. Hope he does.

Yeah good to see him doing well. After he beat Robredo in Hamburg I thought he was going to have a big finish to the year but his results since then were poor. Winning Bastad would have been massive for him but what was even more encouraging was the way in which he went to Hamburg and got past Kohlschreiber and Robredo despite running on empty. The old Paire could not have been ****ed and would have tanked the first round 6-3 6-1 or something like that.
