If you're just talking about out of contract players (9) that doesn't count. Hartlett or the club stepped back, for whatever reason. Ah Chee is the only one I've heard of that's 'live' in this.

Rightly or wrongly, only going by what is reported. By the sounds of it, GC will only take Ah Chee if all else fails.

You are right in the sense that the players have never been revealed but the media has been reporting that 13 players are in the trade bucket. Even the club suggested that they were going to be aggressive in the trade period following 2 limp years - we are still all waiting for it

I still believe that there is a 50/50 chance of Hartlett being traded to a Vic club, he's too classy a player not to have clubs having a serious crack at getting him onboard and there has to be some bad blood after we somewhat threw him under the bus to test his trade value.

Had his best season in 2016, is coming along nicely. More goals would be nice though.

Selwood wasn't a trade, left West Coast as a free agent.
Henderson was handy but cost Geelong a first-round pick and only time will tell if that was justified. Mind you that also applies if they'd knocked the deal back and used it on any of the last draft's 1st round offerings.
Zac Smith for picks 49 and 53 does seem good though, but maybe more so to Port fans because of Renouf and Ryder.

Ruthless is not frenetic. You can distinguish the two by the useful concept of "self-control"".

Our list management has our trading options tied up in knots. That it might be the same bunch of people responsible for both doesn't matter for the purpose of not having an argument with ya

Thanks, it appears to be what I thought, almost the opposite of trade bait. Just the delistees or players in their final year next year.
You could say the same of every club. You don't need to have listening devices in the clubrooms, you just work out whose contracts have not been extended.

Who else might be provoked into leaving though? They delisted the "zimmer frame four", Wells is off...

Pending further disclosures, unlike the Carey case there's a chance he stays, and please understand I'm not judging the personal matter, just suggesting that their club may also choose to not judge the personal matter and simply back in the person in the alleged conflict that they feel is "more important" to their chances in 2017, and Goldy will be even more central than he was the last few years.
