They only got games because of injuries.
Out of those DBJ would be the only one that may start in round 1. Maybe.
If all other players are fit he will have competition for that one spot, so maybe or maybe not.

There is a real chance that Clurey will go the way of Butcher. Many years on the list for very few games.

Oh and I am not sure we can say that Amon progressed in 2016. Probably was one of the players that didn't go backwards as much as others.
I think a bit the other way the blokes listed above should now be first 22. The players who we can't move or delist have had thier chance and failed to be first 22. These blokes should now be back up to the younger players.

I'm not in favour of calling our players spuds. Anyway, for all we know, it's the coaching that could be the issue.
There is a lot of issues at our club from players to coaching and recruiting. We have held onto players who are and never will be any good for to long. By the time we bite the bullet and get rid of them they have no value and we find ourself getting nothing for them or being screwed around. Moore Butcher and Lobbe being prime examples.

Sorry to intrude... would you guys have any interest in Matt Shaw or Keegan Brooksby? we are trying to create list space up here.. you could probably get them both for Ah Chee... both are useful in their own ways but we have so many high draft picks they are probably surplus to our needs..
The other wildcard in the trading with Gold Coast situation is that they can only use as many picks at the draft as they have available list spots.

Currently they are looking at 6 players out (4 delistings and two to be traded), if Ah Chee comes in that's 5 spots free, if they get a player from Hawthorn that will be 4 spots free.

They have picks 4, 8, 22, 24, 26, 30, 44. They will get picks before 22 for Prestia and O'Meara.

They can't even use picks from 26 on without more delistings. To give up say 30 and a player is actually no hit to them at all.
We should take picks 26, 30, 44 off their hands for our 2017 2nd round.
My first ever speculative trade idea.

How about Achee + 45 + 2017 2nd rounder for 26+30

That gives us a few 2nd rounders this year and Gold Coast another 2nd rounder next year for Academy prospects

Our starting 22 is set in stone. There will be no room for those apart from maybe DBJ.

You're right that's what the coaches will do but loyalty to blokes who continue to fail not only in big moments but also when the pressure is not on like playing Brisbane or Carlton is one of our many problems.

With Goldstein from North looking to get out for banging a North trainer (she must have been alright to **** your entire club and marriage) then heck lets offer them Lobbe lol. They'll need a ruckmen lol.
When the blood is in your groin it leaves nothing for the head. Then again consenting adults. Messy all the same.

Bone's article is nothing over the top, and it probably sums up a lot of clubs, however this group does smell of complacency, I get the feeling there might well be a lot of changes next year, coach included if we waddle along with the same bunch producing the same performances, this trade period looks like it will not be producing much for us just yet....

I would say it is more than likely they bring in one of Armo/Barlow as well so there is another spot gone. I don't think you'll find they will give up a 2nd rounder because they wouldn't be able to take them though, they will be looking to trade for some future picks or maybe snag a big player if they can afford it.

Okay Ill try again.

Fox Sports saying it how it is "With the Power caught in the dangerous middle ground between bottoming out and playing for a premiership, Hartlett was the only player who could potentially draw a first or second round pick in a trade. But he will not be leaving the club."

Richmond 2.0

We are a million miles from a premership. If we dont bottom out i believe we will end up like North. Middle of the table or bottom half of the eight without ever really being a legitimate chance to win a flag. Our list is not good enough to match what was on display in the finals.

Nathan Brown to StK as a free agent. I had no idea he was out of contract.

An elite KPD when he's fit IMO, massive loss for Collingwood.

And Carlisle comes into that defense too in 2017. Adding some serious spine to an improving team, St Kilda will surely rocket into the 8.

Will get no compensation pick having signed Mayne and Wells.

They also look like losing KPD's Marsh and Frost. What the **** is going on at the wobblers?

Remarkable isn't it? I seriously thought they were building something great there - perhaps it's wasn't all coming together on field but there's some serious young talent there.

Now this offseason has shattered that illusion. Wells and Mayne are both questionable acquisitions and the loss of Brown and Marsh has compounded it. Is Frost wanting away too?

Does this mean they'll pick up Nathan's brother Mitch who is also tipped to walk out on West Coast?

St Kilda having a pretty good trade period picking up some tall timber and a best 22 midfielder on the cheap, also taking the clever gamble that Hawthorn are going to slide next year trading pick 10 for the Hawks future first & 2 second rounders.

They actually will only have Reid and he is shockingly injury prone. They are going to have to pick up someone, I hope we aren't offering any of our kids to them for Greenwood.
